A Painting and a Quilt

Sweet little Gracie painted a picture to hang in my office. She was four at the time. Then she told me her baby doll was cold. What's Aunt Vicky to do but make her baby doll a quilt using the painting as inspiration? It doesn't matter that she's my boss' granddaughter. She's real special to me - she was born on my birthday! I just hope her next picture isn't quite so 'abstract'! LOL

But this is totally a stash quilt! Not that it busted much stash!

Made gumbo tonight but it needs to cook more. It'll finish cooking tomorrow. They're predicting some snow on our mountaintops this weekend. We might have a winter after all!

What a sweet gift and quilt. We should all be so lucky to have a person in our lives who thinks so highly of us that they put our work in a quilt. Good work.

My guys are looking forward to the snow -- they both want to go boarding on Sunday. Gumbo will be great on a cold wet weekend!

Your right that is identical. You weren't exagerating at all. As for the weather, I think we have had a little so far. I'm hoping for a dry night I will be camping out for preschool tonight. And wet weather will suck.

How adorable! What a great little painting and how neat that you were able to capture it in fabric! She sounds like a special little girl--and her aunt does too!
