I pulled this out a month or so ago for a future give-away. No time like the present time!
This is the Needlework Bag pattern by Pat Sloan. I purchased this back some time in the early '00s. I know it was that long ago because I bought it from The Quilted Garden, which is now The Quilted Crow, back when Marianne owned it. Some of you historians should be able to date it.
It's an interesting kit. It has roughly two yards total fabric, ribbons, a neat button, and other stuff to complete the bag - prairie cloth, ticking, a piece of linen. I don't think the floss is included and I didn't check to see if a Velcro fastener is in there, but if they're not, that's all you'll need to pick up to complete the project. There's obviously a little applique and some stitchery involved but I think it's a really cute needlework bag.
Let's make this a short give-away. I'll do the drawing on Tuesday night, 12/7/10, when I get home from work which is usually by 7:30 p.m. My internet connection here at the Quilting Condo has serious issues (grrrr....), and I'm scheduled for *another* tech to come out today. If for some reason I don't post the drawing winner Tuesday night, you'll know why. But it'll be posted by the next morning.

My kids keep buying our beagle coats and hats and costumes and he hates them. When you put the hat on, he just lies on the floor like it is too heavy.

My "Youper" kids have it memorized complete with the cajun drawl-- I know you can completely relate.....and I realize that you know in your heart that when Santa crosses the Sabine river he really trades reindeer for alligators just like in the book photos.... thanks for the opportunity to win this cute kit. Alligators, a red-nosed one ?!? And silly me, I thought LA was for a city not a state. lagniappe tipped me off too - yes, I'm blond. So each year I look for a unique, but not too complicated, treat for the kids to make for the holidays. Saw on one the girls blog an oreo dipped halfway in almond bark then sprinkles added, yummmm, maybe a little peppermint in the almond bark.

Rusty said to tell Penny, "Hello." He is currently snoozing. I had my book club at our house today. Rusty is exhausted from this event:)
