Stash Report Week 25

I'm probably not going to continue stash reports much longer - at least until I start busting some things. It's a habit to write down the numbers, so I'll continue doing that. If I could just make myself sew all those backings that are sitting there, I could make a sizable dent in the minus column.

This week 25 yards of Glace fabric came in. I have the Frosted Windowpanes quilt kit coming in next week, so its backing was purchased this week. I'll most likely start that one fairly quickly as I love Brenda Riddle's patterns. I also purchased the American Patriot kit and backing, 12.25 yards. Love patriotics!

So a total of 37.25 yards in this week.

I ordered the Green Piece BOM and backing, so I imagine that will arrive next week also. I'm looking forward to working with the wool on this project.

No busts this week again, but my mojo is returning. I sewed on a BOM yesterday and will continue working on that today. I vacuumed last evening and, alas, need to do it again today. Penny is having so much fun running in and out of the house and onto the patio that I really don't mind. I also swept the patio last night and picked up all the leaves, but as there's a tree at one end, it's a never-ending battle. I'm just not going to get hung up on sticks and leaves on the carpet now. It's just too much fun watching her.

Year-to-Date Totals:

Busted: 124.75 yards
Purchased: 406.75 yards
Net YTD: <281.625> yards

Well now go sit in the sewingroom and start one of the backings. Just sew one hour a day and really you will be busting soon.

No one cares about the carpet but you, really! When I quilt I use Hobbs batting that has the iron on on it. Then I do not have to pin or baste just iron and quilt.

25 yards of Glace!! What are your plans for that?

NO!!! You can't stop posting about your stash!!! Awh, common, if I'm not using it as fast as I want and am still going to admit to it, you can too!! ;-)
I try to sew 20 min's a day - does it always happen?? No, but it is a goal, and I do try to 'catch up' if I fall behind. And I will read you next week, right?? lol!!
we gotta stick together!!

It is hard to bust your stash. I keep making promises to myself not to buy more. But I keep finding things I can't resist. I too am drawn to the Glace fabric and I absolutely love the American Patriot quilt.

Please don't stop posting your stash buster numbers, that's one of the reasons I check your blog!

So many fabrics, so little time, say what? Every time I buy fabric, I swear it's the last time for awhile, and then something new and wonderful comes along, and I can't resist!
You're right not to worry about the leaves and what-not - she is having such fun! I can see her now......
