A Good Day!

I've been busy in my sewing room today!

First, I finished the patriotic tumblers. I decided on a blue border, although I'm rethinking that now. LOL.

Then continuing the patriotic theme, I cut the Peyton at Play pattern from a couple of Minick & Simpson lines. I notice I don't have the borders in the picture, but they're cut also. I'll start sewing this one tomorrow.

And finally I cut out the Brrrr Park quilt. Again, the borders are not in the picture but they're ready to sew on when the quilt center is finished. This was a lot of cutting. I'm going to enlarge the quilt so there will be more cutting later, but at least I can get started on the majority of it.

Of course, I didn't vacuum...........

That's allot of cutting! Love the tumblers and how all the red ones are at a diagonal. Very nice and yes... way more fun than pushing a vacuum aground! Happy sewing tomorrow :0)

I adore tumbler quilts so I really love your little patriotic version!!
Whenever I cut a quilt out ahead of time I almost always end up losing pieces. So I'm a a cut as I go type girl.

Hi Vicky,
I really like this tumbler quilt, but if you're not sure about the border, try a narrow, maybe 1", solid red or tan inner border. Hope all is well in L A--it is hot here in LA.

You are really a speedy person. You got more done in 2 days than I can do in a week. Working on that stash, huh. I know where you can go to replace it. :)

vacuuming can always wait! You've been very productive, glad that you took the sewing time for yourself this weekend.

Definitely a good Day! The tumblers look sweet. Lots of cutting leads to lots of sewing--always a good thing :)
