Lazy Sunday Morn

I've been totally worthless the last two or three weeks. I was so sick, and trying to work and keep up appearances ... it really kicked my you-know-what.

Yesterday I took it easy all day. Of course, that means I have more to do today, but that's okay. I need to find out exactly when this new kitchen is going in. I have to remove everything from the cabinets and the two pantries. I just hope it's another couple of weeks away. I guess those two boxes of fabric will finally get moved out of the big pantry! :)

Penny has turned into a slug since I've been sick. She probably look at her slug mommy and decided that's what she wanted to be when she grew up. Anyway, I found her napping today and managed to snag a pic before she roused. I can see the sofa needs a good "rolling" today.

On our walk a few minutes ago, I snapped this shot right outside my door. With all the rain we've had, everything is very, very green. Of course, it's always green in SoCal, but it looks clean and fresh this morning. More rain expected today, I think. I really don't mind. We'll be wishing for rain this summer.

I have a long to-do list. I don't even know where to start. I'm going to get someone over here to help me move things in two weekends, so I need to prep. Everything just seems monumental to me right now. I'm not strong enough to push and pull on stuff, so hopefully my helper will get it all done for me. I'm real tired of thinking about this renovation project. I just want it over with.

Feeling sorry for myself Friday. Don't know why. I surely have no reason for that. I guess it's because I was sick and got behind on everything. I decided to take a dose of this, and I felt ever so much better!

Off to get started on my day. I think I'll start upstairs by stripping the bed. That will keep me from crawling back in it for a short nap!

Sorry to hear you've been sick. I think you're right a dose of goodies from FQS definitely makes you feel better. I love the Friendship fabric.

I hope you're feeling better soon. A dose of fabric always helps, and the dose you took is soooooo pretty. You are tempting me. There is something about the combination of red and aqua that is so happy. And there is nobody here to slap my hands and tell me "no button pushing allowed..." LOL

Vicky,
I'm so sorry to hear how long you've been sick, because I know where you are coming from. I've had 3 Upper Resp. Inf. since Jan. and Friday I woke up with Vertigo. Talk about something kicking your butt!!!! I've never had this before and NEVER want it again. Not fun, but I am on the mend.

I love your "cure".

Vicky so sorry it's still hanging on! I felt sorry enough for myself with 2 weeks but you're past that. I did find a day of lounging around, nappy, snacking and cuddling with my puppers at the end was sorely needed before I could jump back into things. Glad you got some help to prep for remodel, no relapse, you want to keep your sewing mojo! Love your goodies, think that's about the only thing Ihaven't bought from there latelY.

So sorry to read you have been so sick! I hope you start getting a little energy back soon~ but continue to rest and try not to do too much at once. I love your 'medicine'. ;-) Have a happy day! (hugs)

These darn bugs this year are just so hard to get rid of. I think you had the right idea...retail therapy always makes me feel better. I sure get that "everything is overwhelming" feeling...our dear friend Darlene kept reminding me not to think too far ahead...one day at a time. Sure helped...you take care. Oh Miss Penny is too funny!

I was wondering if you were feeling better. Sounds like you have a ways to go getting back to normal. Looking forward to seeing some of your quilting projects when you feel better.

Sounds like a good idea, taking a dose of that fabric. Hope you get to feeling like your old self soon. My Molly sleeps just like that and then snores on top of it!
