Seriously! I have a haircut today, and hope I have enough steam left to stop at the UPS store to get out packages, but that's it on my agenda for the whole day. I don't know why I thought being able to stay home would be nice.
I did get to the market on Monday, finally, and filled up the pantry and freezer. I couldn't resist the catfish fillets as I don't often see them at that market. I decided to have a good old Southern catfish fry. I should have cooked only one fillet and not both of them as this was way too much food for me. I need to air the house out today. Now I know why Daddy used to fry fish outside!
I would have been "Chopped" with this presentation! LOL. I had some beautiful tomatoes and made a really nice salad. In hindsight, the salad would have been plenty for supper! It was really good, though.
I'm going to organize an applique block that a sweet friend sent to me. She had prepped everything. I just need to place it on the background and get it basted in place. I can't wait to be able to stitch on it!
Penny is still sleeping. I tried to get her to go for her walk a few minutes ago, and she just looked up at me and then buried her nose again. What a weenie!
I'm off to do nothing. Another day in paradise!

Almost every day when I leave for work, I wish I could stay home. Your situation reminds me to be careful what I wish for! I hope your recovery continues smoothly and you are able to sew and work again without pain or restrictions.
Now I'm hungry! LOL Tiring out fast is part of recovery. Penny has the right idea~ rest often. ;-) Have a great day!
Being at home would probably be nice if you were fully recovered and could do the things you wanted to do, but when you can't do that much, I agree it gets boring very quickly! Any hope of being cleared to do more in the near future?
Oh yes I can so relate but I was able for the most part to do things when I had enough energy. I never thought of prepping a block for you,, how very clever of your friend. Hugs for silly Penny too!
At least you still have your sense of humor! Take care!

If you felt better & could funtion at 100% I'm sure that you would really enjoy staying home!!I do admire that you still have your sense of humor!! Sending healing thoughts your way! Take care!!
Your quilting friend, Penny
O.k. that catfish looks delish! I have to go look for some, haven't had any in a while. Hope you saved some for breakfast the next day (mmmm, eggs grits and fish, yum!)
It's hard when you can't do the things you want to do. But you'll get a little stronger every day -- a few weeks ago you couldn't do what you are doing today! Keep the spirits up and give Penny a big hug---that'll feel good!
you might want to try switching from Tylenol to Aleve liquid gels for your pain. they're much easier on the stomach and for me the Aleve works better and longer than the Tylenol does. As everyone else says, easy does it.
OMG, you had catfish and didn't call me????? YUM!!!
