Then for some reason last night I was wide awake at midnight. My back, amazingly enough, wasn't hurting, probably from all the ibuprofen I took during the day for my headache. Anyway, I headed downstairs to the sewing room.
Nothing like a little Green Eggs and Ham at that time of the morning. I finished framing the blocks and sewed together the guts of the quilt. I need to add two borders and it's done. I want to get this finished up this week so it can go off to the quilter. I am SO done with Dr. Seuss fabric!!
I probably should get the borders on today, but I need a break from those colors! I have a fall/Halloween colored quilt that's tugging at my heartstrings right now, so I'll do some cutting on that and see if I can't get in a little sewing on it, too.
I need new movies. I had the portable DVD player on my sewing table going last night, but I've seen everything I have at least twice. Might have to stop over at Target tomorrow night to check out their selection.
I'm wanting gumbo so badly today. I talked to my brother this week and that's what they were having. Too bad I don't have all the fixings here. Sheesh, I'm going to lose my Southern girl certificate for not having those ingredients on hand at all times!
I'm homesick. Can you tell?

Great quilts! The Green Eggs and Ham would be a big hit with my DGS now. LOL I'm happy to read your back is feeling better. Hope you can get some gumbo soon! Have a happy day!
Do you need me to ship Andouille and smoked turkey necks?
Quilt is really cute.

The Girl Celebration quilts are as cute as they can be...lucky girls! and the Dr. Seuss quilt is wonderful! Sure will make someone very happy! Glad you had some good, fun sewing time!
Very adorable quilts, Vicky. I'm glad you were able to spend time with your machine.
Oh, I love both of your quilts. Very clever Dr. Suess. Bright and colorful.
love those quilts!!!!!! love gumbo too lol
I just watched "When Calls The Heart" on TV last night---GOOD MOVIE!, AND THEY'VE GOT IT AT WAL-MART, if you're up for a trip outside. Good news is that it will be a new series starting in January, and directed by Michael Landon Jr.
I also heard that the new Star Trek movie that is out is a good one, if you're into Star Trek.
i hear you about the leaves tracking themselves inside. it's hapening here too. every time i open the door they make themselves welcome in my place. We had some wind thru here last weekend, so lots of the oak leaves are falling early now, where they normally stay on the trees thru Winter and are the last ones to fall in the Spring.
Take care of yourself and Penny.
HUGGS!
Sounds like you need Netflix and a helper to assist getting set up so you won't over do it.
I agree with Auntie Pami. Netflix is a life changer,,,you can watch tv series in sequence, movies are plentiful, and the "watch it now" feature is really great. Your quilts are so beautiful, you inspire me!!
I STRONGLY recommend Netflix or HuluPlus! Inexpensive way to have whatever tv or movies you want to watch instantly! Homesickness is the worst, my heart hurts for you. Your quilts are beautiful, you inspire me!
