What a Mess!

Good news, the new sewing table has arrived.

Bad news, I have to hire someone to pick it up and deliver it to the house, and help me move the old one out.  And put where?  I kind of wanted to keep it for when I get in the new studio.  I had visions of having two sewing stations so a friend could come over and sew.  In the meantime, though, I'll have to deal with another table.  The way I'm feeling now, I might just call Goodwill to come and get it.  What a mess!

Honestly, I wish I had never gotten that new Bernina.  It's caused more hassle than is good for me.

I should have just gone back to bed this morning, or sewed, instead of trying to box stuff up in and on my sewing table.  Now I can't walk in there.

So I stopped that project and decided to make gumbo.  I'm not even good for that any more because I just overflowed the pot on the stove.  What a mess to clean up!

And Penny has been dragging leaves off of the patio into the house all day.  The maids were here yesterday, and I already need to vacuum again.  Pushing around a vacuum is not on the neurosurgeon's list of things I can do just yet.

Do you feel sorry for me yet?

I do!

I'm a mess!

((hugs)) I do! Take a deep breath and turn off the gumbo and have a nap. All things seem better after a good nap. ;-)

I do sympathize! A few yrs ago at Rd2CA I purchased an identical machine to the one I used at Eleanor Burns class at Rd2CA. I had no idea that it was so heavy because dealer loaded into my car. But at home I soon discovered how heavy it was. I could not move it and it road in my car everywhere w/ me for several wks.Yet it was going to not only be set up in my sewing but I wanted to occasionally use it as a very nice take to class machine. Finally as I told everyone that I came in contact w/ about my friend riding in the car w/ me someone offered to purchase the machine. Yay! I sold it for just about the same amount that I paid for it as a special at Rd2CA and I am still sewing w/ good ole Pfaff & Janome!

I can relate about trying to clear space and then making it even messier. But I also agree about the nap--those always help me. Hope you're feeling better today.

Bless your heart...someone else I know bought that big Bernina and took it back and they gave her a regular size one and a little one (I'm pretty sure that's how it went)...she said the same thing, it was just too darn big and was more trouble than it was worth. Take care!

Your life is nuts right now! It's too bad more of us don't live closer... We'd come fix you up (I'd even vacuum!).

Oh Vicky....it will all work out. You need someone to help you get it all organized and set up and then I will be that other person that comes and sews with you. How fun would that be? Hope things get better soon.

Reorganizing always seems to involve creating a temporary disaster area in the process. Hope this week goes smoother!

You poor thing! I hope that you can get it all worked out!

Maybe you should just save the new machine and table and keep using what you had been using... Then you can save then new for the new studio. :)
