I've seen more than my fair share of vets these past few months, haven't I?
Penny was really sick when I got home last night. Nothing was staying down - or in, if you get my drift. After a night of sitting up with her, I took her with me to work, and got in for an appointment late morning.
They rehydrated her, found the problem, put her on antibiotics, and she'll be fine. When I spoke to the vet at 5:30, he said she was feeling much better. In fact, she was sitting in her kennel making cute faces and they were making her bark. He was laughing so hard about her funny bark. He said, "She sort of has to wind up to it, doesn't she?" See? I told you all that!!
It's quiet here tonight. I stood at the door when I got home with the leash in my hands. Heck, maybe I should have just gone for a walk by myself. Of course, I wouldn't need the leash - I don't think. I heel fairly well at my ripe old age!
I'm going to be having a stash busting give-away here real soon. I just need to get it organized. I'll probably post about it this weekend. Stay tuned!
Edit: Well, that bolt of aged muslin from Kimberly came in! All 15 yards of it! Guess I'd better get organized on that give-away before Sunday's stash report!

I feel for you. It is so scary when your dog gets sick as they can't tell you what is wrong.
Ohhhhhh poor Penny and you! Is she staying overnight at vet's tonight? I feel you... Hope she gets better soon to make you laugh as she has always done! She needs to get her job back so that she can watch while you are organizing your stash!!
Sorry to hear about Penny, but glad to hear she is feeling better. Also glad you are not sick. You had me worried.
Hugs Fern
Oh Vicky, I am so sorry that Penny is sick. We are sending her (and you) lots of healing beagle kisses from Phoenix! Hurry and get better and come home Penny!
oh my! you had me scared there for a moment. I'm so glad that you were able to get her into the vets and that she will be better soon.
Huggs comming for (((both of you)))

Oh no. I'm glad to hear that she's feeling better.
I've been wondering where you've been.

Poor Penny! I am glad to hear she is better.
I hear you on the stash busting! I am off today and the plan is to re-organize my sewing room and get rid of what I know I won't use.
I am sorry Penny is sick and hope both of you are feeling better soon. Love seeing the photos of her!!
Oh no!! I'm glad that she is doing better, but man ... You are having rotten luck with sick dogs! It's awful having them sick because they can't tell you what hurts or anything. Max usually just wants me to hold him close and tight, but that is not conducive to sewing! :)
I hope that she gets to come home soon and is back to barking at her reflection in the mirror just as quickly! :)
Oh, now I'm sorry Penny is not feeling well.
A little get well smoochy from Cooper!
Hope Penny will be home soon again.
Let us know when Penny is home! I am glad she is recovering!
Oh poor puppy! I am glad to hear she is doing better. She sure is cute :o) And that fabric is so perfect for stitching. Nice to have it on hand.
Looking forward to Penny's return to home and good health. Also will look for that stash giveaway over the weekend. :-)
Glad Penny is on the mend. I have used some "tea dyed" muslin and it makes for wonderful backgrounds on applique!
Oh, Vicky! I'm so glad she's doing better. I had no idea she was sick. Does she get to come home today?
I feel the same way about vets (and doctors). Hope Penny feels better soon so you have a walking partner.
Thursday evening: Penny is home!!
That's wonderful that Penny, is home. I know she is as happy to be there as you are to have her home.

Maggie and I send our love to Penny! I hope she is well and can come home soon. Maggie got a "boo-boo" the other day at the kennel. So I took her to the vet and he gave her meds but found a problem with her eye. He wanted me to take her to a canine opthamologist to be checked out. I had to keep from crying in the office. I thought sure she was going to go blind! Long story short (and $200 later) she is just fine. What would we do without our furry family!?!
Hi Vicky,
poor, poor little pup.I'm glad to hear that she's better now! My fingers are crossed that she's soon back to her happy & funny old self.
Oh, and I shouldn't have followed the link to the aged muslin...I already know in which project I want to use it but...no, not yet, have to be a good girl and not poking any tempting buttons ;o).
Hugs, Julia
