Stash Report Week 37

I posted the picture yesterday, so there's not much else to be said. Except the purchase total - 52.50 yards. Rouenneries, Wiscasset, Aster Manor, Mill House Inn, and Flag Day Farm.

Seems *someone* thought enough about it to email me (with a fake email address I might add) with their issues about my purchases. I mention it only in passing and to make this reply to them: Go fly a kite.

Year-to-Date Totals:

Busted: 165.25 yards
Purchased: 545.365 yards
Net YTD: <380.115> yards

The fabrics you bought were beautiful.
This is what I think although you didn't ask me. LOL. You work and make your own money and it's yours to spend any way YOU choose and it's no one else's concern what you do with it. If someone is going to make nasty comments then they should at the very least be honest enough to give their name and their real email addy. Someone is not only jealous but a coward too.

go fly a kite is right... random emails and anonymous comments bug me. mom always said if you don't have anything nice to say.. don't say anything at all... and i said same is true.. but if you are gonna say something not so nice.. stand behind your words... anywho you know i love you... and i'm here to support you!!

I love you too! No matter how badly I do, I can count on you to do worse! What are friends for anyway? :) I loved the fabrics you showed earlier and think you made some excellent choices . . but you always do.

I find it kinda funny when people are so weak as to leave anonymous comments or mail. If they don't have the guts to stand up for what they think . . well, you know what I think of those people.

My feeling is - if it makes you happy, buy the whole darned store!

Babe, I'm proud of you! I had to actually wipe the drool off of my chin when I saw that picture.

Vicky you've made me so happy again! everything you bought i would have bought too, and probably even more!Don't worry, though, i'll probably catch up to you in February.

I just don't get people...they don't pay your bills, what gives them the right to chastise you for what you buy. It's the same thing as making nasty comments about how many projects are started...it's nobody's business but yours...if it makes you happy...I say do it!

OMG, I can't believe someone took it upon themselves to judge your life. We like to think we know the people we blog with, but for the most part, we don't. "Go fly a kit" is the perfect response!

My comment is thanks for being a great American and helping out our ailing economy! Judy and I can't do it alone!

Don't let that "someone" ruin your fun! Buy what you want and have fun quilting with it-or even just caress it lovingly! Life is too short not to do the things that you enjoy! Plus, we out here in Blogland get the added benefit of drooling over all your wonderful purchases!
Have a great day!
P.S. Kiss the pooch for me!

Yup, I agree with everyone.. those fabrics are beautiful and that emailer is a jerk.

I recently found out that Moda only orders a certain amount of fabric for each line. They make the fabric packs like you bought and then a month later, release the yardage. Once it is gone, that's it. Some designers may have a second line the next year with similar color tones and designs. So, I hope that you bought enough to make quilts later... otherwise....

So, that has changed how I am buying some of these fabric lines - if you see, buy it and buy enough. Don't rely on getting the matching yardage later for the borders and backing.

OMG, why is it OK to send an e-mail to criticize? Is it jealousy? I simply don't get it.
Life is just too short to spend it criticizing others - guess that person is just unhappy. Sigh!

You go, Girl. :-)

I wish I could shake off two negative comments that came my way - they have caused me to stop sewing/quilting. Sigh

I saw your picture yesterday and I thought it was great. Love all of your purchases and all my favorite fabric lines too. Have fun with your nice fabrics.

I want to come visit you to play with Penney, fondle your fabric, and have a good laugh and eat cajun food with YOU!!

Beautiful Fabrics!

As for your e-mailer, just think they have to live with their ugliness and you get to live with beautiful fabric!

He he... go check out my blog :o) I did pretty good myself this week! And I love your reply to the hater, lol.

I can't believe someone criticized you. Why can't people mind their own business and worry about their own lives??!!!??? Sheesh! To the moon with them!

Miss Jean said...

Oh, for crying out loud! Go fly a kite indeed. Why don't people mind their own business? No one said that we have to all agree with what each other does. My philosophy is as long as it doesn't hurt someone else and it makes you happy, then I'm happy for you.

That person must be terribly sad on the inside to take their anger out on a stranger.

I hope you enjoy all of your fabric.

Lord love a duck! It's beyond me how "anyone" can have issues with fabric that YOU bought. And to feel the need to e-mail you about it.
Sometimes you just gotta laugh. Enjoy that beautiful fabric. I think I'm going back and buy the Aster Manor tower after all.

yeah! Go fly a kite. I love all your fabric purchases and can't wait to see the finished projects. Too bad you bought 2.5 yds more than Judy. I was wondering if she would be the highest. Have a great week.

Darling Jill Quilts said...

I agree with Judy L. And telling them to go fly a kite is right! Who is anyone else to comment on what you do or buy? People just suck!

Congrats on your purchases! :)

Love the answer to the email. None of their business. The fabrics are beautiful! I wish I could buy them all up too!

Thelma said...

I have never commented but wanted you to know that I look forward to your Stash Reports, they cheer me up every week.

I just don't understand the mentality of someone thinking it's their responsibility to judge your behavior with such poor behavior of their own.

So sorry to hear about the jerk!! I don't know why some people can't keep their misery to themselves! It looks like you're going to have a blast sewing!!!
