Stash Report 2010 - Week 16

Pennsylvania Dutch BOM participants, please post your comments about finished blocks HERE.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is all I managed to accomplish this week. I am thinking about starting over on this embroidery. After worrying about whether I'd have enough embroidery background fabric in the kit to do that, I discovered I have a whole bolt of this exact Moda Bella Solids 9900-60 in the stash room! ROFLOL. See? It pays to stash! I'll finish up this one and maybe do one more before I decide on the start-over. It's the Rabbits Prefer Embroidery pattern from Bunny Hill in case anyone needs to see what it's supposed to look like! I have a feeling when this quilt is done, Bunny Hill will refuse to sell me any more of their patterns for fear of my ruining their reputation! ;)
I did get the rest of the kit cut out, though, so that's 4.5 yards busted. I thought I'd piece along with the embroidery. Hopefully this won't turn into a UFO buried in the bowels of the stash room.
Incoming was 3.25 yards of Petite Maison by Bunny Hill. My backgrounds/neutrals runneth over, but, again, I grab them when I find them. Of course, it was from the sale section at the Fat Quarter Shop so that was good! I need to spend more time over in that section. Some really cute things lurking there.
Battling stomachache and stress and a tiredness that no amount of sleep seems to cure. Hopefully I will get back to normal soon. I'm already behind on my goals for this year and surely don't wish to fall further behind.
Year-to-Date Totals:
Busted: 104.125 yards
Purchased: 138.625 yards
Net YTD: (34.50) yards busted :(
Time to get more backings done to eat up some of those numbers in parentheses!
It sounds like you may need a trip to the doctor. Please take care of yourself! I started feeling a bit under the weather yesterday myself. I think my body knows it can shut down now that tax season is over. Maybe the same has happened to you after your busy time at work.
I was bad this week, too!!! And I'm going to another sale today! :)
Feel better!! It's rough to cut anything while you feel lousy...
I had to laugh about you finding the bolt of fabric in your stash! Good reason to have a big stash for sure.
Vicky,
You are too hard on yourself. Your block looks good. I would just keep going with it because it will be so cute when it is finished. Don't do the blocks over. It will be your learning quilt and you will have such fond memories of the nights you stitched on it with Penny.
This looks great to me, don't start over, it will never be noticed on a galloping horse you know, lol. Sorry to hear you are stressed out. Not good. See if the doc will give you a prescription of ativan for a couple of weeks. Works for me I just need to slow down a bit. Not addictive. I don't need it often, but if I get real keyed up it does the job.
I don't know why you aren't pleased with your embroidery. I think it looks great. Keep up the good work.
I have bolts of stuff in my stash. Usually Kona Snow, Ecology cloth, Moda butter background, etc. Good planning on your part to buy that in advance. Although I really don't think you need to start over. It looks good to me. When viewed by others there will not be the pattern to compare it to. Just enjoy the journey.
I am so sorry you are not feeling well. I wish a hug could cure it. Take care of you.
The block looks great! I wish I had more stash from a couple of years back when the prices for fabrics were a bit cheaper!! Love the idea that you have a whole bolt! I should do that for a Moda neutral, thanks! Be well!!
