Stash Report 2010 - Week 36

I wanted to get to a neutral report this week, but, no, I had to go and poke buttons. Maybe next week.

A tower of Arnold's Attic plaids, and the rest is French General's Maison Garance. 18.83 yards in. Ten yards went into the charity box.

I'm sure going to have a lot of French General to quilt up when I retire!

Haven't quite decided what's on tap today, but I really want to finish up an old quilt top that my sister-in-law's grandmother made. But I guess I need to clean up the cutting table so I can get there and do some work. (sigh) If it's not one thing, it's another...

Year-To-Date:

Busted: 353.25 yards
Purchased: 390.885 yards
Net YTD: (37.635) yards busted :(

Cleaning - ugh. But I just read about a strategy to schedule 10 minutes a day to clean up, so that's an idea I might adopt. Of course, thatgoes along with the ideas of doing the 10 minutes of sewing and 10 minute walks.

Oh well.... Hope you are feeling better.

I love French General. I could be happy if about 1/3 of the fabric I ever touched was her beautiful stuff.

Kathie L in MD on Judy's Stash Report (#11) has a great idea on cleaning with her 10 Minute Challenge. Let's get to sewing those beautiful fabrics!

Love your choices! You have a great 'fabric eye'. :-) Cleaning is a necessary evil isn't it? Hope it doesn't take you too long and then you can play. Have a happy day!

I think your saving fabric for your retirement is great planning on your part. Too bad cleaning doesn't happen all by itself. If a messy cutting table is keeping you from creating then do 15 min. at a time. I really hope you are feeling better.

Hope you're feeling better. Just remember the dreading is worse than the doing. after it's picked up you'll feel so much better and have an open spot to let your creativity thrive.
Are you satisfied with your Accuquilt GO? I also would love to get one to alleviate my cutting conundrums, but am waiting to hear how other people like theirs. Jane

I can't resist French General either. I just buy it. I don't even study it too hard. I know I'll love it:) I just finished a Schnibble using Maison de Garance. Love it!
