Meetings, Meetings, Meetings .....

..... and more meetings. Guess what I've been doing lately. It's not sewing, that's for sure.

Last night was the first in a couple of weeks that I had a full night's sleep. No headaches waking me up. No charley horses. I think exhaustion finally did the trick. Hope it holds through the weekend as next week will be a doozy and I need to be rested up for it.

I was seriously thinking of going on a blogging hiatus for a while, but I'll try to hang in here a bit longer and see how it goes. To keep things going, I'll be posting a give-away - probably on Sunday after the stash report. I'll try to think of something fun, but if I don't, it'll just be a regular old give-away. There will also be the "lagniappe" surprise for someone who has that little something extra in their comment or on their blog. So if you're interested, check back in on Sunday.

Nope, no pictures. I'm having a brain issue with the new camera. That will sort itself out. In the meantime, the new one is back in the box and stuffed in the closet. My trusty old point & click will have to suffice. On the next post. Not on this one. It's too early today to even think about pictures.

I've been watching the news and have everyone in my thoughts and prayers as these winter blizzards march across the country. Here in SoCal it's lush and green, though a bit chilly at 39 right now. But as the day progresses, we'll be up into the mid to high 60s. The perfect weather. Sorry. For all the things I don't like about CA, I do love our teeny winters. It makes the horrendous heat the other ten months of the year sort of bearable, as in, "If I can just hang in here eight more months, it'll be cool again." I've always yearned to live somewhere with regular snow, but after seeing what the rest of the country is enduring this week, I'm not so sure about that any more. Stay safe and warm!

One more thing. I'd like to ask a favor of all my readers.

Take a few stitches for me, will you?

You sound like me, I wait all year long for the little bit of cool we get in our so-called winter! I would take a few stitches for you, but I haven't done much of any myself, and tomorrow I'm going on the Country Loft circuit (you know the shops) to get more stuff, can you believe it?

I would miss you if you didn't blog. I check your blog everyday. I'm tired of all this snow and it's been such a cold winter with temps in the single digits. I am ready for Spring. I agree with Darlene, you need a hug.

don't worry, Feb is a short month, and then comes April and May with all their lovely flowers and sunshine, and lovely Spring weather.

ps. Feb is a great time for some redwork. Stitching is very forgiving of busy schedules, it's relaxing, and every stitch is a bit of progress to make you feel great!

"...and more meetings. Guess what I've been doing lately. It's not sewing, that's for sure." Aaack! That reminds me of why I'm glad to be retired. A little compensation for the aches and wrinkles of being retirement age. :-p

This has indeed been a palatable winter in CA... so far. Our CA sojourn does have an endpoint, but after reading the weather news, I'm wondering???

Hang in there and get back to your sewing soon!

I'm sitting in an airport-- just left a major ice storm in Louisiana... You missed it. But Family was fun--- the food was incredible and it was different from our winters.

My husband says February is the longest, worst month of the year. If you need to go on a bloggy break, please promise you'll come back! When are you ever going to get a break? Haven't you more than earned one yet?

Yikes - don't stop blogging. I like seeing everything that you buy!!!

For the charley horses, are you drinking enough fluid? Dehydration and electrolyte imbalance can affect muscles. When I had severe cramps due to some meds, the doctor prescribed quinine to relive them. So, I drink tonic water. Gin or vodka are optional ;-)
