Penny's "50" Give-Away

So when we were talking this morning, Penny and me, she came up with 50 when I asked her to pick a number.

Her choice kind of took me aback, but I'll go with it anyway.

Leave a comment and tell me whether you'd rather have:

1. 50 yards of miscellaneous fabric from my stash

2. 50 miscellaneous fat quarters from my stash

OR

3. A $50 gift certificate to the Fat Quarter shop

One winner will be chosen.

Since I won't be able to post at all this week, I'll run the give-away to next Saturday morning, July 23rd, when I get up and have a cup of coffee. It'll probably be around 6:00ish a.m.

Be sure to leave contact info (either a link to your blog or your email address) in case your name is chosen.

Remember, comment moderation is turned on, so you might not see your post right away. I will be publishing several times a day, so be patient. Also, because of the volume of entries for give-aways, I won't be able to respond to each comment. Please know that all commenters are entered.

That Penny! Whatever am I going to do with her?

Afternoon, I would like the $50 gift certificate from the Fat Quarter Shop. I have my eyes on "American Banner Rose"!!

I think that 50 fat quarters would be just wonderful. Then i could line them all up and drool for awhile before I decide what I would do with them

Wow, Penny is a generous little puppy! Since you asked her, I asked my cats. They said 50 fat quarters - apparently they know you have a (small) Civil War collection and I'm just starting Barbara Brackman's quilt along. Thank you, Penny!

Unknown said...

WOW! 50 yards would be great! 50 FQ's would be awesome! $50 for the Fat Quarter shop would be terrific! So I guess all three would be graweific! lol

My stash would double if I won 50 yds of your fabric. How cool would that be?? I found your blog a few weeks ago and have been reading backwards through time. Not as much fun when you see the finished quilts before hearing the stories behind them ~ but I'm loving it just the same!
Enjoy your week!

Oh how generous of Penny to share YOUR stash! LOL Guess she figures if Mom gets rid of it, she would have more time for Penny. I'd love some yardage from stash! That way I wouldn't have to pick anything out. I have such a hard time deciding! :)

Thanks for the chance to win! Give Penny a pat from me for being so generous!

I'm running low on storage space, so I guess I'd love to win the gift certificate and buy some yardage for a quilt I have planned for a granddaughter. Thanks so much for the giveaway! That Penny is sure a generous puppy. It must be because you treat her so well. Kathie L in Allentown

I'm tempted either by the 50 yards or 50 FQs. I think whatever boy-ish pieces you have the most of. I need more inspiration for male quilts, as I'm outnumbered 'round here. :)

dianne said...

fifty, huh? well ... having seen bits of your stash, i wouldn't say no to 50 of anything from it!

Sally said...

If I were to win this awesome give-away, I'd choose the 50 FQ from your stash! I make a LOT of project bags and FQ are perfect for them....Pick me,pick me, please!!!!!

Melissa said...

Even though it wouldn't help out for your stash-busting, I would rather have the gift certificate - I've had my eye on some Me and My Sister fabric that is just begging to come here to live.

Cathy said...

I would love 50 yards!! Oh my goodness how generous! But that would cost the earth to mail to Canada so I would take the gift certificate to save you the bother. That is if I would be so lucky! and thanks to Penny for being such a great little puppy with numbers!

Amanda said...

OMG! This is super generous!! Wow, I would love any of the 3. Since I am a new quilter and really don't have a stash so the fabric from your stash would be awesome.

pdudgeon said...

i'd love to help you clean out your stash in order to make room for some new goodies, so i'll choose 50 yards and really help out your stash report. *grin*

Wow! What a wonderful giveaway! I'd love the 50 fat quarters - well would love the 50 yards too, but I think that's asking for a bit much! :-) You are so very generous - I'd love to win & anything would be fine & dandy with me!! Thanks so much for the chance! :-)

Have a great week ahead,
Amy

Louisa said...

I'd be happy with any - can't go wrong with a FQS certificate, but then again random stash is always super fun. I think the FQs sound more intriguing cause 50 yards just sounds like a lot. That Penny, nutty girl.

Monica said...

Oh my goodness!

Sounds like Penny's wanting you to bust your stash...LOL. And since I don't want to disagree with her I guess I have to say 50 yards of fabric. It'd literally be Christmas in July!

I would love the $50.00 gift certaficate from the Fat Quarter Shop. I just love their fabric and wish I could have it all.

The 50 fat quarters or the gift certificate would be wonderful. ~Thanks for the chance at your generous giveaway and thank you too Penny.~

Tiffaney said...

Wow Penny! You are such a generous girl. I think your momma has raised you right. That or maybe you are like my TJ who thinks that getting all the fabric out of the house would leave more time for loving on the puppy dog. Either way thanks for wonderful giveaway.

I would pick that $50 GC.

Good luck to everybody that enters.

Mary said...

Holy cow! What a giveaway! I would be thrilled with any of the prizes!

Wendy said...

Oh my gosh what a generous giveaway from Penny. I like surprises if my name is drawn.

Mary said...

Wow! This is some give-away. I'm on a Jo Morton obsession at the moment so I guess I'll hope for the $50 gift certificate at the Fat Quarter Shoppe. Sweet Emilie is really pretty - oh that's right, you already have some!

Mary

Cathy said...

Wow, any of the above would be wonderful. However, I need 50 yards of fabric like I need a hole in the head, so I'll go with the $50 gift certificate which would allow me to get some patterns to use with the fabric that's clogging my own closet!

Dee said...

Wow! You sure are generous in your giveaways. You may not want to let Penny pick any more numbers though! I'd be thrilled with any of the prizes so whichever you felt most like parting with would be great with me. I have a pretty large stash but could also use more fabric to pet and make more quilts for charity with. Also, I love the Fat Quarter Shop and would have not trouble spending a GC there. Thanks for the giveaway! I can dream about it even if I don't win (I'm not usually very lucky at these sorts of things)!

Patty said...

What a generous giveaway. I would go for the gift certificate cos I have my eye on a new fabric line.

Well, I am not sure you would want to part with 50 yards of your beautiful fabric and I don't think I really need 50 FQ's either, so I would hope to win the $50 gift certificate. I have some fabric that I would like to purchase for my DD's bed quilt that I am going to make her for her new home.

Hi Vicky,

Oh my!

You are serious about getting back into the positive with your numbers aren't you?

Hmmm... All three are terrific prizes but I would go with in order:

- 50 yards of fabric
which would more than double my starter stash of fabric LOL!

- followed by 50 fat quarters:

I know I have over 50 fat quarters in my stash LOL!

and then:

- $50 gift certificate
which of course is fabulous but I know you want to get your numbers in the positive balance. :-)

How about letting Penny decide?

Cynthia

They sew quilts for people in need and for fundraisers for their charity work. Or pick my number and I will give it to the Infant Crisis Center that makes quilts for infants in crisis, thus the name. Or perhaps other people who have left comments have the same idea?

Arlene said...

Oh my goodness, decisions decisions, I think if my number is picked I will leave it to you to decide for me as all 3 options would be lovely!

Leena Salleh said...

I think I will definitely pick option 1 One can never have enough fabrics :)

I would love to win 50 yards of fabric from your stash.
I make charity quilts each year I make 12 and donate them to different charities and my local hopital for low income babies its nice to see that that go home with one brand new thing just for them, and this would be amazing to be able to make that many more quilts with all that fabric.
thank you for that opportunity and YES thank you to Penny too...
Thanks Vicky for once again for being so generous and giving.

It is 5 a.m. here and I am on my first cup of coffee and Penny just knocked me out of my chair. 50 yards of fabric for me would be like getting Christmas in July. I am a fabriholic, love the look, the feel of cotton. Born and raised in the South where cotton used to "king", no satin for me. Thanks to you and Penny for being so generous. I love your blog. Have a great day.

I would love to win the 50 Fat Quarters as it would be so fun to see all the different fabrics. Thank you and Penny for the very generous giveaway. :)

Glenda in Florida said...

Hmmm, being mathmatically inclined, the choices are:
1. 50 yards of fabric
2. 12 1/2 yards of fabric
3. 5 yards of fabric

In the interest of helping you reduce your stash, so you'll have room for more, I'd take the 50 yards. If any turned out to be suitable for any of my groups charity sewing--pillow cases, pillow case dresses, totes for kids in the abuse shelter, or quilts for Habitat for Humanity new homeowners, I could pass it right along to several willing stitchers. Tell Penny thanks for being so generous with the objects that compete with her for your attention :-)

Wow! What a generous puppy! Guess it's easy to give away someone else's fabric. I would take either the 50 fat quarters or the $50 gift cert. I like variety in my quilts.
thank you!

Penny is such a good number picker! She's as serious about letting loose of your stash as you are about enhancing it, LOL! 50 fat quarters would be fabulous. Thanks, Penny!

Maddie Can Fly said...

The magic number is 50? Oh my goodness that's a lot of fabric and/or stash! You are so generous -- but then us Louisiana people are like that now aren't we?

BrushandFloss said...

Wow! What a giveaway! You are so generous. I am beginning to realise that about quilters.

Where I am a beginning quilter, and the nearest quilt shop is a 2 hour drive, I'd love to receive 50 yards from your stash (I'd even agree to pay shipping for that!!!) If you need 'stash-busting', then I need stash-building!!!

Hope I win, but good luck to everyone else out in blog-land.

Thanks for the opportunity to enter your great giveaway!!

Wow! I think any of those choices would be great. But I think the most interesting would be 50 yds from your stash. There's no telling what you could pull out of there to give away :).
