This week I picked up this project again to work on. The baskets are from When the Cold Wind Blows by Blackbird Designs. I now have 260 baskets done - only 31 more to go. I think I'll leave this one out to work on instead of hiding it in the closet.
I've decided not to do the appliqued on-point setting squares. Enough is enough. I'll just do a straight setting so I can get this one done in this lifetime.

I'm amazed how many blocks you have completed and that you are on countdown now with enough baskets to complete your quilt! Love your little baskets but of course I always love the work you share!! I have forgotten if you told us but am wondering what size are these beautiful blocks?
They're 5" finished. Just about the right size! ;)
You will love us when it s done.
I'm so looking forward to seeing these baskets put together!

I've always loved the book and this quilt. Congratulations for proceeding this far! You're doing a great job.
I've been enjoying your progress on these little baskets. and apparently I enjoyed it too much because I ILLed the book and am wanting to start making them myself!
You're so close! I'm looking forward to more peeks as you create a splendid top.
Yay! You're almost there.
I love these wee baskets...congrats to you for having the perseverance to see this through! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished quilt and I'm so with you on skipping the rest of the applique!
You have been working on the basket blocks a long time. I remember when you started them....not the date but just that you were going to make the quilt. You have stuck with it and are nearing the end of the applique work.
Hurrah! I will send you a victory surprise when you are done with the blocks!
