Purple Scrappy

This was one of the Katrina quilts made by someone at The Fabric Patch last year. I put the binding on it using a batik I won at an auction to benefit the tsunami victims. Although I'm not a purple fan, I liked this one. Simple squares, no borders - this would be a fun weekend project from scraps. These were either five or six inch squares. I don't remember now.

I'm procrastinating house cleaning .....

I like this one too! What size are the squares? I think the thing that makes this one a success is its simplicity--right down to no borders.

Very cute and comfy looking. It's a great way to use friendship squares.

It is pretty - I like simple patterns when I'm in the mood to finish something quickly. One of my favorite books is Super Simple Squares by Possiblities.

Thanks for re-posting with the size of the squares. I am pleased that the squares are larger in size. This would be an excellent way to use up stash and make charity quilts in a hurry.

Great quilt. Glad you had the binding job, not me!

That's a very pretty quilt. When I just want to sew I love to take a stack of charm squares and just sew them together. Sometimes I'll use an inner border and piano keys for the outer border; sometimes I don't use a border at all. They are simple but so pretty. And sometimes you just need to sew without having to think much. LOL

I am a purple fan and I really like this quilt. It is gorgeous. And with pretty fabric like that, you don't want any fancy piecing to detract from the beauty of the fabric. I'm going to have to make something like that.
