1st Layout

I'm getting excited now about getting this quilt top together. I forgot to make the center square-in-a-square block, so I just plopped down the pattern on top of that empty space. I need to move around the pieced blocks. This was just a first lay-out.

I'm so tired these days. It's a combination of the heat and work and the fact that I'm just plain getting old. I went to bed early last night, and I probably need to do that again tonight. Or move to a cooler climate. Or retire. Or all of the above. :)

I haven't a thing else to blog about. I'm sure there will be lots of blogging fodder from the Quilter's Run that starts tomorrow. So stay tuned! LOL

That's so pretty! Quilters' Run?? You're not planning to buy fabric are you? Oh . . maybe it's a 5K run . . while carrying your entire stash on your back. Don't try it Vicky! :)

Hi Vicky,

I follow your journey of this quilt-to-be a little while and I think it will turn out beautifully! So great, I just love your fabric choice!
I hope you've got time to rest and this tiredness won't last too long...
Hugs,
Julia

P.S.: What the h*ck is a Quilter's run? Do you have to hand quilt on the run or carrying your sewing machine? *LOL*

I really like this! I so feel your comment about being tired. I knwo that for me it's partly mu summer allergies but it's also work and menopause. I just want a day a week to sleep!

Your quilt is fabulous. I wasn't sold on that fabric line, but you made it spectacular!

I wish you lived by me (even though it's hot here in Phoenix!) to teach me applique...

It looks wonderful, even with the pattern standing in for the center.

What a beautiful quilt in progress, Vicky! You do such lovely work.
I know what you mean about being tired - I think for me it's a combination of the heat and getting old-er. I just can't bring myself to say I'm getting "old"!

Absolutely lovely! Great job getting it up to this point - once you put your nose to the grindstone there doesn't seem to be any stopping you!

Cheers!
