It turns out I have pneumonia. No wonder I felt so awful and couldn't take a deep breath this morning. Three hours at the doctor, breathing treatments, a really mean injection, new meds - I should start feeling better in a few days. I have a few pieces prepped so I can sit and stitch in little spurts. I really want to sleep, and I'm doing a lot of that, but it feels better in an upright position. I can sit up for about an hour before I start feeling really weak.
My "BOM Month" is slipping by and I haven't accomplished as much as I wanted at this point. So I'm going to extend it through September also. I should have plenty of prepped applique to take with me to Louisiana at the end of September.
Back to bed for me now. For the first time in my life I'm having absolutely no trouble falling asleep while it's light outside.

I am sooo sorry that you are feeling poorly! I wish that you had someone to take care of you-bring you juice and soup and such. Don't try to over-do it just because you are at home! Make sure to rest and snuggle your doggy...

Pneumonia? I'm so sorry that you're so sick! I hope the meds work quickly and you can stitch to your heart's content...but still stay home from work!
I'm so sorry you're so sick but am very glad you have meds that should have you feeling better soon. If I could, I'd fix you some soup and run errands, and take Daisy for walks . . or whatever you need for me to do.
Take care of yourself!
I've had pneumonia a few times and I really feel for you. I don't think I have ever felt worse. Take care and don't push yourself. Internet shopping is sometimes good therapy!
Take care, I hope you are feeling better real soon!
Sorry to hear this news but at least you know now and can take care of the problem. Take it easy and be good to yourself.
Please take care of yourself. We'll be here when you're better.

Oh Vicky I'm so sorry that you are so sick...please take care of yourself and don't push it. Sleep, sleep, and sleep some more. I know Daisy will snuggle with you :) Take care.
Vicky, sorry to hear you got the mega crud, eat your pills, stay in bed and watch some cartoons. :-)
Want me to cook some bacon and send mail it out to you? It has magic healing powers!

Vicki had some good advice....we do know how you love to poke them buttons. If it helps you better faster, I say go for it. :)
Maybe you should take Judy and Cowguy up on their offers.
Rest and feel better.
I hope you feel better Vicky. Take care of yourself and get all the rest you need. The quilts will wait.
Vicky, I'm so sorry to hear that you are sick!.. .. (& when you get sick. . . . you really do it right!) I'm glad that you are able to sleep - it's what your body really needs to do. . . (& it helps the time in bed go by faster!) Snuggle with your little girl & I hope you feel better soon! xo, Bren
Sorry to hear that you are sick. One thing I've learned about pneumonia is that you will be tired for quite some time. From what I understand, it really zaps your energy. Please take care of yourself! We want you well and sewing away as soon as possible.
Oh, Vicky, you poor thing. A few years ago we were traveling to a medical convention and there I was with all those doctors and I wasn't feeling well enough to get out of bed the first morning at the hotel. My hubby (a doc, naturally) said, "get up and take a shower and you'll feel better" and I kept telling him I was sick. Long story short, I ended up in the hospital with pneumonia when we got back home. I missed the entire meeting (went to my sister's house who happened to live in that city, and she's an RN and she took me in), came home and hubby put me in the hospital for a few days. So on my tombstone I'm going to have inscribed, "I TOLD YOU I was sick!" ha ha Joking aside, that was the SICKEST I have ever felt in my entire life. So I am sending you lots & lots of get-well wishes...do take care. :)
Pneumonia? Oh NO! Poor Vicky! It's probably all because of the draft coming in your pants the other day when you ripped the seam out! LOL! I hope you'll allow yourself a little time off work to recover.
My dear - get well soon!!!
Still feeling poorly, Vicky? I stopped by to check on you and see you haven't written for a few days. I hope you're feeling much better soon!
