Stash Report Weeks 33 & 34

No matter how sick I get, I can still poke buttons. LOL. Week 33 was a no purchase/no bust week.

Week 34: Every year for my birthday I buy myself something special, usually non-quilty. This year I decided it would be fabric because I just fell in love with this quilt! It's Heritage, Collection for a Cause, by Howard Marcus of Moda. Isn't it beautiful?!! I also purchased a tower of this collection. I want to add one more row across and down to get it to the size I need for my bed. I will need to get two or three yards of the yardage when it comes out to complete the quilt. This will look awesome in my bedroom.

Year-to-Date Totals:

Busted: 288.00 yards
Purchased: 577.25 yards
Net YTD: <289.25> yards busted

So two weeks, 22.5 yards. No busts. I did get some applique prepped but felt too poorly to do any stitching.

I love that quilt. I've been looking at it but have been holding off. But my b'day is coming up next month. Maybe if I hint to DH! ;0)

I love this quilt! I didn't get it though; all of those pinwheels just turned me off, lol. I did get the tower however. Not sure what I am going to do with it yet, however. Glad you treated yourself, and glad you are feeling better!

Glad you're on the mend! And everyone deserves a birthday present, and fabric for a vintage quilt is a WONDERFUL present. Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday
Neat looking quilt, I like how some of the pinwheels have a low contrast - they really added interest to the quilt

Ok, I meant goodness not gooness. Gooness sounds like a great work but I'm afraid to think what it might mean. LOL!

Glad to hear you are feeling better. I have asthma, so I'm extremely careful when I get colds so that they don't turn into pneumonia-added problems w/breathing are no fun!
Sounds like you had a nice b'day. I love following your stash-busting/building journey. I mentioned it to one of the women in my bee - her husband was nearby (and enables the stash collecting!) and he laughed for 5 minutes when I suggested she try documented her stash.

Hope you feel better soon.
And I agree with you about the fabric. It is very pretty. You deserved to have some!

Dang, woman! We're not even in DL and you're meggin' me. I should know by now not to poke on stuff you like. We have identical taste. When Mav sees the cc bill, can I blame you? 8^)Susan

It is a pretty quilt - and since it is a birthday gift and contributes to charity, I think you have complete justification.
Hope you feel better soon. Awful to be sick on your birthday, but hope it is happy anyway.
