Well, the "Ayes" Have It!

You voted and, unlike our politicians, I listen!! So I'll be making the basket quilt. I think I'm going to just stick with the size block as designed. Whether I make all 291 is yet to be seen!! Thank you all for weighing in. See? Your votes DO count!! :) :)

Making use of scraps - that's a good thing! I had some scraps segregated by color, so I dug into the blues and found these pieces. I need a range of blues. I'll be ready to start sewing more blocks before the weekend! Yea!

I don't like standing at the cutting table slicing these strips up into 2.250 pieces, but it needs to be done. So you know where I'll be for the next two nights!

Oh I'm so glad to see you are making the baskets, I've had that one on my mind as well...someday. Your blues are wonderful.

What are you going to use these for? I don't see any blue in those baskets, lol.

Yay!!! I am excited that you are going to make the basket quilt. That is actually a really good idea to make it smaller. A lap size would be great!

I have always loved blue and white quilts. This one is going to be wonderful!

Whatever makes your heart sing! I really love their quilts and I want to get that book too.
I'm doing a spiderweb on paper and I think it's going to take me forever but I really love the look and I'm glad I took the plunge.
Keep us posted.

I like that basket quilt too, but it is a big undertaking. It is very large so one thing you could do is to make it smaller, as a throw quilt or to be folded at the foot of the bed. Another idea is to alternate the basket block with solid blocks of shirting or even 9-patch blocks.
