Nothing out - not surprising. Nothing in - can you believe that?
I'm moving fabric around today. That, more than anything else, will reinforce that I need to get rid of stuff or sew it up. I'm still 100.375 yards down. I'll bust about eight to ten yards next weekend finishing up a couple of things. And then I need to look around for another give-away. Give-aways serve two purposes. It drops my numbers and it gets things out of here. I'll ponder that this week and will get a post up soon.
Have you all been following Market up updates at Jolly Jabber? They did an awesome job this year showing the upcoming fabrics and patterns. Already signed up for Paris in the Fall BOM out of Maison de Garance by French General for Moda. Here's my plan on Maison de Garance: the kit and backing is all I'm getting. Remind me of that when the yardage hits the FQS! I way over-buy fabric if I don't have a pattern in mind. I have shelves and shelves of Rouenneries, Rural Jardin and Lumiere to prove that statement. What is it about French General that tugs at my heartstrings? Wait, don't answer that!
(It's raining again! I LOVE the rain!)
I saw a lot of quilts hanging in pictures of booths that were awesome patterns. I'm sure Kimberly ordered up a bunch of them. Saw quite a few that might work well from the stash. But then there's Bunny Hill's new line, Lily and Will; Fig Tree's new line, Fresh Cottons; Brenda Riddle's new line, Durham Anew, by Lecien .... I'm just saying.
(I just had an idea for the give-away!)
I need to go move more fabric around. I ordered four yards of Brenda Riddle's Celebration line from Lecien this week for a backing - then saw last night that I already had that. Time to do some inventory. (sigh)
Year-to-Date Totals:
Busted: 104.125 yards
Purchased: 204.50 yards
Net YTD: (100.375) yards busted :(

Your shelf of French General fabric is fabulous. I signed up for the Paris in the Fall BOM too.
Oh I want that French General! I think I'll just sneak in a steal some lol. Only other side of the continent. But for the Rouenneries I may...;)
Inventory would be a good idea...I had one of all precuts and co-coordinating yardage on my old laptop...unfortunately it wasn't backed up so when the laptop blew I lost it. It did help with not getting multiples of what I had.
I'm drooling! I need to do some more cleaning in my sewing room today.
Paris in the Fall looks wonderful...I think I'm going to have to do that one...I saw it this morning and now that you are doing it and I see Carol is doing it...you know I can't miss out on it. LOL!
Oh, I LOVE the Paris BOM!!! I'm contemplating it! It's gorgeous!!
Way to go on this week's report! :)
So if I sign up for that wonderful new BOM it'll join the 5 or so others I've gotten to do "sometime" when I retire. But I'm afraid I just can't say NO, its so fabulous.
oh, gosh...I will trade closets with you!!
Such lovely fabrics...
Oh my! I love your stash!! I wouldn't worry any about the totals~ it all looks like fun to me! ;-)
Your stash is to die for! YUMMMMY!!!
Raining? I was just going outside to wash my car. Please keep those drops on your side of town please.
Congrats on not poking any buttons this week! I also like the Sweetwater Pure fabrics...yummy! Now work on that giveaway so your numbers look better. You could also work on the QOV that Judy just posted about.
Why not sell some of it? I'm in the market for the fat quarter set of Rouenneries.
Vicky--your pure enjoyment of fabric is so much fun to watch!
"I way over-buy fabric if I don't have a pattern in mind."
Well there you go. There is a key. If you really don't want to rescue more fabric make a rule you can't rescue until you do have a pattern in mind then buy accordingly.
Just a suggestion but I love the way you enjoy fabric. Rescue without guilt I say! Sew what you want and enjoy the rest.
Unfortunately, I can totally understand you love of French General. I have bought it twice for two different quilts. Not quite as bad as you, but I will know where to go if i run short!!!
I am a fabric lover too...I usually have no idea of the maker or line, but I love fabric. Hey, I think it is entirely OK to love and have and admire our stashes! We as quilters sometimes don't do lots of other stuff, so I think it is wonderful to have and use our stashes. ENJOY!!
I faithfully check your blog every week for your stash report. It is so fun to know that others have such a love for fabric too. Thanks so much for sharing. Oh... and that Fresh Cottom....mmmmm!!
i didn't buy any of Rouenneries, Rural Jardin OR Lumiere ... i think i may have textile dysfunction ... let me go check...
no ... i'm not dysfunctional - the batiks hanging out over there are proof of my normality - bwah ha ha!
I dont know how I missed that BOM - its gorgeous! I will be signing up! Just let me know when you want me to email you my address and you can go ahead and send your stash over to my house!!! ;)
Vicky, I have been following you for about a yr. now and I still can't do the math. You said "I have shelves and shelves of Rouenneries" and I have the pattern Madeline. I haven't been able to find the charm packs to make it and if you ever want to sell those, please let me know??? I cry just looking at your stash! I want to live with you! Thanks, Carol
i see no problem with that french general shelf... in fact i really really like it... and if you ever need to make room.. well you know where to find me.
