I just can't break even. Two steps forward, one back. Oh, well, I'm getting there.
This week I stuck 10 more yards in the box going to a friend for charity quilts.
But ... there's always a "but" at the LA Quilter household, isn't there?
I picked up four yards of Durham Anew by Brenda Riddle, and two yards of Bar Harbor backgrounds at the Fat Quarter Shop.
And one more thing I need to report, speaking of Minick & Simpson -- a very sweet, dear, wonderful, smart, beautiful, skinny friend who went to Market sent me a tower of (GASP!) the new Clermont Farms line! OMG, I was hyperventilating when I opened that box! Ten more yards in, but who cares! I've been fondling and petting it since it arrived! Thank you thank you thank you! I won't embarrass you by saying your name here, but you know who you are! Seriously, if I can EVER do ANYTHING for you, EVER, ANYTHING, just ask! Well, you can't have Penny - and I guess I can't give you my first-born child since I don't have one - but anything else, it's yours!
I actually had other stuff arrive this week, but they were gifts for someone so I'm not counting them. Whew!
Yesterday Penny and I spent the day at Skippy's house. We celebrated Jane's sweet DH's birthday in style with wonderful food, a birthday cake, and the pups had a blast! Penny slept the entire way home. She was actually snoring! When I carried her into the house, she walked straight into her kennel and went back to sleep! She's such a weenie! :)
Today I'm going to work on the Celebration quilt, and I must muck out my sewing room and probably the refrigerator. Wanta bet I don't get to the latter?
Year to Date:
Busted: 200.875 yards
Purchased: 234.125 yards
Net YTD: (33.25) yards busted :(

LOVE the Durham Anew range! Very romantic.
Penny is adorable and loved visiting your post today. I don't always comment but visit often enough.
I don't know that backgrounds should count, they're necessary, just like batting.
And that is one AWESOME friend!
That fabric is GORGEOUS!!! I wouldn't mind a benefactor that supplied fabric! lol
Penny would sleep hard all the time if I sent Max and Maisy. I bet Maxie would run her ragged day and night! lol
The Clermont Farms fabrics look interesting. I am trying to remember if Minnick & Simpson fabrics are always in reds, whites, & blues.
What a wonderful gift for you, new Minick and Simpson. Enjoy!!!!!!
I could picture Penny heading to her kennel. Love your comment, "She's such a weenie:) LOL" Enjoy your day!
The Clermont Farm looks like it could be real tempting! You do find and end up with the neatest fabrics! I so look forward to your stash report.
What a fun surprise! Love the fabrics in your new bundle. Happy stitchin'!

Well, hey you can't say NO to fabric from a friend! The Clermont Farm looks yummy.
Can I just say you are hands down one of my favorite bloggers?!? I look forward to Sunday's just to check out your yummy fabrics :)
Looks so yummy and truly you must know the "best" people to send gifts like that!
That's a wonderful collection. I can't wait to see what you do with it.
yeah...no...you can't count fabric given by a friend or giveaways into your stash count...well that's my vote anyway ;-) Glad Penny got a play date! My little girl is sick right now :( She ate something in our backyard I guess. Had to take her to the vet yesterday morning. She is getting better but is always a scary thing for me when she gets ill.
