Being so far behind on the Civil War Tribute BOM blocks, I decided yesterday to grab the top package in the tub and just do it. Well, what I have to say about these blocks -- well, let me put it this way. Penny didn't even want to come over and sniff them while I was trying to take a picture!
I'm glad this one is out of the way and I can move on. Everyone who knows me knows I can't stand purple. Too bad the folks in that era used it a lot!
On to something else. Don't know what, but I'm not going to let a paid day off from work go to waste!

Oh, but those are beautiful blocks, and look beautifully done!
I'm not a fan of purple, either, but your blocks are lovely. And beautifully pieced!
I'm not a purple fan either, nothing worse than having to make yourself work on a block and not liking it, I feel your pain!
Which month is that? I'm working on month 3, the shop is up to month 4 but I didn't pick it up yet. The shop got a late start for various reasons
I'm putting together a baby quilt top, made all the blocks last weekend, windmills, framed blocks, 9 patches and hourglass blocks, wooo lots of individual cutting! I do like those blocks!
I'm with you...those blocks were less work than several of the earlier blocks, but I sure didn't like working on them...I don't like purple either...YUCK!
I don't find a lot of purples in the repro fabrics. You probably won't have to use much more of it.
I love your blocks, hopefully there will be more 'you' colours in the others :)
Way to go! They look great!
I too am not a fan of purple; however, may I say...beautiful blocks!!! Great work!
your blocks are beautiful!
Purple is my least favorite color, too, but I find that the Civil War pieces don't bother me as much. They're a bit grayer or muddier than usual purples, which makes them a lot more tolerable for me.
Can't wait to see more of the blocks! That's a HUGE project!
Oh, pretty blocks! I hope you just loved your day off!
