Good Morning!

I don't know why I needed to say that, but I did! :)

Okay, here's the deal. I just got a timeline yesterday of a lot of stuff at work that has to be done in the next couple of months. It's overwhelming when I look at the whole list and due dates, but just like making a quilt, today I'm going to break it down into do-able components, make a list, and stick to it.

I see a lot of weekends working and a lot of stress. I can handle the work and stress. I just can't handle much of regular life stuff on top of that.

I haven't quilted much in the past year except for some applique. My friends know why. And I don't foresee much quilting in the next couple of months either. If I get to do it, then that's a bonus. If I don't, I'm ready to accept that.

I'll only be blog posting about once a week, if that, which is about all I've done anyway lately. Just wanted my sweet readers to know that everything is fine here.

So email me if you want to chat. I'll get back to you when there's a moment's pause.

And if you all would take a stitch or two for me, I'd appreciate it! xoxo

this is the only part that would concern me if i were in your place.

if the results of the work you will be doing are life-changing, will affect many people on a broad spectrum, and important enough to give up several months of your own life, then go for it.
But if they aren't, you might want to reconsidder.

Well many a year I've been in the same spot so I can certainly sympathize. I do keep wondering how folks get one of those no stress, no deadlines, no weekends jobs! oh but I do like the pay...hmm. Do take some time even a half hour now and again to refresh your self with the things you love. hugs

OH, sorry, Vicki...I really am. I hope your life can afford you some time to enjoy quilting too...I once had a job that just consumed me, in hospital administration...I just love it now that I am "just a nurse" again!! Big hugs from me!

I totally understand! Training on new accounts AGAIN right now, and sewing is far and few between. Sadly, we all have to make a living, huh? Take care!

I hope you can sneak in some stitching/unwinding time. I'll miss your posts. Have a good weekend!

I know you had a few quilts that needed binding. Even if you can take 5 minutes and do a few stitches, you will feel productive on the home front. Be easy on yourself!

Good luck with the deadlines. I'll patiently be waiting to read your updates. Hang in there! Take care of yourself. Take a little time out for yourself (sleeping doesn't count). (((HUGS)))

Going through periods of work like this is extremely stressful! I've had several in my career with the medical group I work for. It's always great when they end :) I'm lucky to have a DH who takes care of me during those times. Hope you remember to take care of yourself and have the right "fuel", both nutritionwise and for the soul! Definitely will take a stitch for you.

I can SO relate! I read your blog regularly. Email me sometime at polarbearz68@hotmail.com. I live in Iowa. We can plan a winter retreat and let you make that snow angel on your bucket list. :)

I'm just a keyboard click away. Sometimes "life" gets in the way of quilting--- plain and simple. But always remember .... the quilting is not going anywhere...You can pick it up again any time. Hang in there....
