Nothing in; nothing out. Although I have a couple of huge orders coming in next week from the Fat Quarter Shop. Decided to get yardage to go with the two lines of precuts and towers I have sitting here.
For Pom Pom de Paris I went with the yellow for borders, etc. Yellow is really calling my name this year. For Lily & Will, I'm stocking up on baby quilt fabrics and have precuts in all of the colorways, so had to get go-withs for all of those. I'm usually not into fabrics for babies at all, but these are absolutely gorgeous and classic. So I'm all set - or will be when they land on my doorstep, and when "great expectations" are announced!
Things were quiet here last week, and I looked forward to going to a small quilt show near here yesterday. But on Friday night I came home really nauseous and was up and down all night long. I think it's gone now, but it really laid me low until yesterday afternoon. Wouldn't you know it. Oh, well, there's always the Long Beach show in July.
I was able to make a little basket block each night this week, so have 6.5 done. Hope to get another one or two done tomorrow. When I get half of the blocks done I'll figure yardage and get that added to my busts. This is a really labor intensive quilt!
I have a box sitting here of .5+ yard cuts of miscellaneous fabrics that will go out to a commenter here, if they're interested. Just say so in your comment and I'll draw a name on Tuesday night when I get home. Don't know how much is in the box, but some scrap quilter might like to have them.
2011 Totals:
Busted: 90.87 yards
Purchased: 111.755 yards
Net YTD: (20.885) yards busted :(

Your are really going good in your busts. Well a box of fabrics I can't say no to, so just add me.
Those little baskets are so darn cute. I need to get working on mine again. One a night is a great way to do them.

Hope you are feeling better after your bout with the stomach thing. Great basket blocks!
Can't believe I'm vying for more fabric but knowing your great taste in gorgeous fabrics and knowing that 1/2 yard cuts are perfect for applique, I'm in! lol
I have the pattern for those little baskets; after seeing how wonderful yours look, I'm trying real hard not to start another project.
Hope you feel better.
xoxo, LadyBaltimore
I just adore those little baskets!! I can't wait to get started on mine but I have a zillion other things to bust out first.
Ah, you are making the the applique baskets. I made one of them and then ended up switching to a different basket in a larger size so I would not need so many. Are yours going to all be in the same color range?
What an unusual report for you. Amazing that nothing came in. I love the Lily and Wil fabric. I have the pink and blue and have made a few quilts from it.
Oh, scrap fabric! That's something I don't have a lot of for some reason. I'd love to do a scrap quilt but then always realize I don't have enough yet. Maybe if I'd get some of my groups of fabrics done (or win this give-away). Either way, I'll get there some day!
I am a scrappy quilter and would love your box. Good luck with those baskets. Kathie L in Allentown
Oh!! I love scrappy!!! I'm hoping to get the Scrap Basket Sensations book for my birthday this week! I need to finish up some quilts so that I can start a new quilt with scraps! lol
Way to go on the baskets! They look so cute! And starting on the sashing when you have half of the blocks done sounds like an awesome plan! Will keep you motivated, I think.
Have a great week!!!
We are sorry to hear you've been sick and missed the quilt show.
Your baskets are coming along good and they look great.
I'm putting Amanda's name in for the scraps. She loves getting fabric in the mail.
Thanks for the chance for her to win.
I'd love the opportunity to play with your fabrics, count me in. I just sent off bags of my scraps to TX. Other peoples stash always looks more inviting! Glad to hear you are feeling better, we had lots of people out sick last week up here in the NW
I certainly wouldn't say no to more fabric either especially free fabric . Those baskets are too cute. Say hi to Penny! rnoel57@gmail.com
I like half yard cuts. In fact, until my recent big order, that was all I had left in my stash.
I'm glad you're feeling better, but sorry you were sick.
Count me in! I would love to give some of your fabric a new home.

Hi Vicky,
Glad to hear that you are better and I enjoyed seeing your blocks.
Since I was a winner recently, I'll skip on this give-a-way. :-)
Cynthia
I love your basket blocks with those little diamond cutouts. I haven't seen that before. They really are so cute!
Please put my name in for the drawing!

I would love a box of fabric scraps to work with. I hope you are feeling better. I hope you are making progress on your decluttering. Give Penny a hug for me. She is just too cute. dorthaC@aol.com

Cute baskets! Would love to win your box--I'm a new quilter and am slowly building my stash. Thanks for the chance!
I love scraps!
You buy such beautiful fabrics. I'd be happy to give a home to some you no longer want. My stash could use a little "jazzing up" anyway. Seems like the same fabrics appear in every quilt.
Hi Vicky,
Glad to hear you are feeling better and to see your basket blocks coming along.
We had a wonderful time in Baton Rouge this weekend with the annual GSQA Seminar--fabulous teachers this year, such as Judy Neimeyer, Harriet Hargrave, Mary Ellen Kranz, Gyleen Fitzgerald, Ingrid Wicther, and a new local appliquer, Violet Newby.
I wouldn't mind winning your yardage, so add my name to the drawing.
Thanks in advance, you have my email,
Loretta in Louisiana
Love your baskets! I would love my name to be added to the pot, I am making scrap quilts for Japan.
Your basket blocks are great. I'm not sure I want to keep track of the fabric I buy or use, could be scary. I would love to inherit your cast off's.

I too love yellow. Good choice. Your basket blocks are adorable. Great job. Scrap box? Nope.....I've got enough of my own. But this is a great way to share the love.
Since I am always drooling over your fabric purchases it woul be only fitting to be able to drool over a box of your gorgeous scraps as well. Hope you are feeling much better. Please add my name to the bowl for Penny to choose from.
I sure hope the thought of going to a quilt show wasn't what made you sick! LOL Glad to hear you're feeling better now. Look forward to seeing all the new pretties that arrive this week.
I would be thrilled to win a little bit of your stash! You have great taste in fabric. Maybe they would work in my Dear Jane... Thanks for having the giveaway!
