Design Wall Monday - 4/4/11

66.5 basket blocks done. 224.5 more to go.

I'm a glutton for punishment.

I need to lose that dark block.

I love working on these little things.

I need to dust the baseboards and vacuum carpet.

I need a life - and a maid!

I need a life and a maid also!!
Cute baskets! Are you trying out all your new threads!?!

Cute baskets but what are you making with all those baskets, three king sized quilts?

Hey I'll come and clean your house and you can pay me in fabric! LOL

I need a maid too...and to win the lottery so I can stay home and quilt all day....

I love your little baskets.

Those baskets are one of my "hope I live til I get to it" quilts!! :-D Yours is turning out beautifully! Normally I'm kinda serendipitous about wonky fabrics -- but you are right. Lose the dark one! LOL I loved reading about your thread obsession! You have all you need for all the baskets you wanna make! Awesome!
Blessings,
Mary Lou

STOP showing me these wonderful blocks!!! I adore them and wish I had time to prep a ton. I think you are right about the maid. Do they do laundry too? LOL! Just think of all the time we would have.

Very cute! Need a personal assistant in addition to a person to help with heavy lifting:)

I'm agreeing with you being a glutton I think we all need a maid...including the maid no doubt!

I need a maid, too. Sigh! Oh, I need a life, too. LOL

Cute baskets - love 'em.

I love your baskets! Maybe you could make more dark ones to mix in.

Keep on plugging away on those basket blocks. Sooner or later you will reach your goal. Or you could make a smaller quilt.
I can't help you with the cleaning but I can help you with the sewing. LOL!

Very impressive progress for such a very busy lady. Glad you're finding time to stitch. These are so cute.

The number one thing I ever did for myself was to get a cleaning lady 2x a month. Bertha has been with us for 20+ years now and I couldn't do with out her. I sometimes even sit up at night and worry about what will happen when she decides to retire...sigh. Oh and she'll do laundry and change the bed! Ask around I'm sure someone you know has a jewel of their own to share.

Adorable baskets! If you keep showing these, you are going to soon convince me I need to make them too! ;-) lol Have a great week!

I love those baskets (but you do need to lose the dark one - use it for the label).
Call the maid service and keep on making more baskets.

I'm packing for a retreat and am taking some of my baskets with me. Yours are gorgeous, and I'll think of the photo you posted to keep me going on mine.

I am a sucker for a basket quilt and yours is going to be AMAZING.

If you don't really want to lose the darker block, you could make more of them ;-)

Oh I love those baskets. I have a bunch of them prepped to sew but I'm going to be lazy and not put the hole in the middle. You've gotten lots done.

I love the baskets - every time you show them I am more tempted to start making them.

Love the baskets! By the way, you are a bad influence on me - I went to my LQS over lunch today and bought 6 new spools of thread.

Cut little baskets. You are much more focused then I could ever be. You've already made so many!

Well, I have a cleaning lady and I have to clean before she comes, lol, because no one ever does to suit me. So, I don't know if it helps having one or not, lol. Of course I love these baskets, wish I would finish mine up.

Please stop! I already have too many projects on my sewing table, cutting table, ironing table, chair in the living room, kitchen table, bar, bedroom...well you get the idea. I love the baskets, they are too cute!
I would kick a child (over 21) out if I could have a maid for even once a month. I don't mind laundry I HATE mopping and cleaning the windows.
How do you get so much done with such a demanding job?

Love, love, love those baskets, Vicky! I agree about the maid -- how much simpler life would be, not to mention productive!

That is a lot of baskets! Can't wait to see the finished quilt and hear about getting a maid :-) I could use one too.....along with a cook and a gardener :-)
