I was a cutting machine yesterday! I cut 25.33 yards of Civil War fabrics for myself and to share. It felt good to hold the rotary cutter.
Incoming was five yards. I'll get those busted next week.
A little piddling was involved yesterday, so I didn't get as much prepped as I intended, but here are a few drunkard's paths. I decided to quickly hand baste them as my thread was hanging up on the pins I used. This only takes a minute and it'll be easier to needleturn them.
I also need to hold off prepping too many more until I can pull in some other colors. Need to toss some cheddar in there. Too bad that bolt of cheddar in the stash room is a solid. ;)
The car is running good. I hopped on the freeway yesterday for a couple of miles, and, by George, I think they've fixed it.
Happy Easter to all. I wish you joy today.
Year to Date:
Busted: 194.45 yards
Purchased: 212.69 yards
Net YTD: (28.74) yards busted :(
P.S.: There's a 20% off coupon good through 4/27 at the Fat Quarter Shop. Just don't forget to put "taxes" in the code box like I did!! :< Sheesh.....

WOW - You did cut up some yardage yesterday. I love how the simple things can feel so good.
Great stash busting! Nice blocks.
Great job on the busting!
Wow, you were on a -cutting- mission, good for you! Congrats on a functioning car - for hopefuly years to come!
I think I have some FQ that have cheddar in them if you want!
Wow. You have been cutting a lot. So glad to hear that your car issue may be resolved!
Cheddar makes every reproduction project better. Glad to hear your car isn't still acting up! Happy Easter.
Woo hoo!!! Good car mojo equals cutting and sewing! NICE!
And I am getting my order ready for this week. It's a nice discount! :)
I love to have stuff cut and ready to go...alas one night last week I cutout the fabrics for a New wave quilt ala Elizabeth Hartman of Oh Franson. The wedges went fine and then I needed Kona white sashing. Oh how happy I was. I had it my stash! So I cut all the pieces...17 wof strips at 2in wide...perfect! But wait, in the light of day, even though my quilt room has decent lighting...it was really Kona snow not white....grumble, all those strips at a 2in width. Oh well, love this quilt so I'll be making it again with fabrics that work well with snow! Have a wonderful day Vicky.
I can send you some cheddar squares, what other colors do you need, just let me know!
