I have to piece the backing on the Park Lane quilt by Bunnyhill Designs Then I have to put the final borders and piece the backing on the bright baby quilt. Those are up first. The last quilt on my must-do-immediately list involves layering and pinning. I'll do that at some point this weekend.
I pulled out a large queen top that I made two or three years ago from a Moda kit. I put it aside trying to decide whether it needs a border. I'll lay it on my bed today to check the drop on it. I have a feeling it'll need one. Hope I can find the border and backing fabric!
I'm real eager to dive into my French General fabrics. I recently saw this bedroom and I'm totally inspired now!
This was a summer quilt - no batting. What I immediately noticed was that the background for this quilt is tan. I probably wouldn't have used it with the snowy-white linens, but it works perfectly. I need to get over being so matchy with everything!
Hopefully some progress reports this long weekend.

I'm sewing this weekend as well, enjoy the 3 days off work!
I agree with you. Ivory sheets would have looked better. I can't wait to see what you come up with your french general fabrics. (my favorite line right now). I, too, am stitching again and it sure makes me glad that we have a long weekend to do it. Enjoy your sewing.
You are right, it does work perfectly with the white bedlinens and tan with multi colors of red. I love it. French General would be wonderful, but alas I don't have a stash of those fabrics. Hmm maybe I should . . .
13 peOK, matchy matchy story. Friend can't wear an outfit without matching color underwear. She bought an outfit for the 4 yo niece, and she went up to try it on, couldn't find matching underwear, couldn't put it on! Now she buys the matching underwear too. Now that's matchy matchy. Kiss Penny for me.
Have fun sewing!
When I was a beginner quilter I remember being told "You are not getting dressed" when choosing fabric for quilts. Don't be so matchy matchy. I hope you get some good quality sewing time in. I hope to do the same.
I love your summer quilt with your snowy white linens.
