No, not on sewing. I can't sit long enough to do that yet. But I did draw lines on squares for HSTs. I put a tray in my lap, propped up in bed on my wedge. Baby steps!
Over the course of this week I had help in pulling some fabrics to go in the boxes to be mailed out. If you're expecting a box from me, they won't be sent until next week. I can only work on that in very short spurts. Again, baby steps!
The maids yesterday helped me by moving some project tubs so I could get to something. I found a home for a BOM that I have over halfway done and then it was put aside. Why do I do that? Anyway, I know it will be finished and loved by the recipient, so that makes me happy! At least that one won't end up on eBay after I'm gone! :)
I need to seriously look for the chargers to my Kindle. I have two of them and they've both gone AWOL. I can't even imagine where they are as I had one in the bedroom and one downstairs. I can see misplacing one of them, but both? Totally puzzling. I probably ought to look in the pantry. I found my address book in there six months after it had gone missing. I can't even blame that one on drug brain!
Doctor's appointment on Monday. I hope to be cleared to do something, anything. He wouldn't let me fly home right after the surgery, but a month later I'm hoping he'll change his mind. I'm not holding out much hope on that, though.
Anyway, that's it from here.
Does fondling fabric count for something? Please tell me it does, because if it doesn't, then I'm totally worthless these days!

Fondling fabric is definitely a step in the right direction...if not, I'm right there with you! Feel better and I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get the doctor's okay to fly!
Awww! Vicky, fondling fabric most definitely counts! Plus, you marked some half-square triangles. :) It sounds like you are going a little stir crazy. Get better soon - sending you hugs. Have a super day!
I know it's frustrating to want to do so much but aren't able to. Hang in there. Just fondle fabric and look through your quilt magazines and books and dream.

If fondling fabric were a paying job, I'd be a rich woman! Hope you continue to mend as quickly as possible.
Fondling fabrics counts! So does dreaming of projects, looking at books, magazines and day dreaming. Baby steps are very good steps. Hope both of your chargers show up today. Have a good weekend~ and good luck Monday at the Dr! Gentle ((hugs)).
Fabric fondling, quilt book and magazine reading (this is just the kind of occasion we buy them for!), quilt show, instruction or history DVD watching, catching up on podccasts --- all are approved Wounded Quilter Warrior activities!
Give yourself permission to convalesce just a little bit more -- the Doctor's ok to get back in the saddle will be in any day now!
I think fondling fabric fits in the 'fabric therapy' category. Therefore, it valid, and has healing properties. You are speeding up your healing as we write! Keep with the baby steps and do not overdo...we are sending good thought and hugs.
Sending good vibes your way - hopefully the doc will give you the a-ok to head home…!
Fondling fabric definitely counts! Who knows what inspiration you'll get just from the feel and look of fabrics!
Hope you feel better soon.
Fabric fondling is excellent therapy. Feeling the texture of the fabric and gazing at the colors and designs are excellent for healing. Hope the doc gives you permission to fly home. Hope you are feeling better soon.
