A little perspective that made me laugh out loud. A Temecula Quilt Co. star sitting on top of a Nantucket star.
Samson and Goliath!
I'm just grabbing fabric and sewing together for the big star. Man, I can't do scrappy, even when it's all from the same line.
Maybe I should plan them a bit better, huh? It looks like the top points are chopped off, but that's just poor photography on my part.

I like your scrappy!
I like your scrappy, too. You're too hard on yourself. :-)
Vicki--if you don't like it, you won't want to make it--so pick whatever fabric you want to sew together! (but if you want some help going hogwild scrappy--I'd be glad to help.)
The two stars are pretty funny--I as almost missed the little one.
I like your scrappy...wait to make a judgement until you lay them out together like the pattern...I think it's going to be awesome. Oh my, the big and the little...too cute!
I'm so excited you're sewing along with us and it looks like you are off to a great start. I couldn't do the random scrappy, I'm more a controlled scrappy girl. I've yet to get to those little Temecula stars but your comparison is hilarious. It really shows how big the Nantucket stars are and how small the Temecula stars are! I hope you're having fun in your sewing room, looks like fun to me.
It's so funny to see the size difference in the stars!
Your scrappy is fine! It looks scrappy! :-) Love the comparison of stars. Happy sewing!
I think in the big scheme of things this block is going to look lovely. It's not truly scrappy if you plan it out too much.
At first glance, I thought it was all one quilt block in the picture. Lots of difference in size of those blocks. Temecula's blocks always seem to be very small.....but oh so cute.
How are you doing with the new sewing machine? Is it heaven?
I love looking at these two stars together. I laughed out loud when I saw the 9 patches this week on the Temecula post. Now you can show us both of them! I love both!
