I had one more border to put on Nantucket.
Wrong!
I have to unsew the last border.
The computer guy was here fixing a problem with my computer and tethering all the devices, and I was pinning while chatting with him. Guess I can't do two things at once!
I already have gone back and fixed a couple of like-fabrics-touching on the first border. Now I unsew again. You may feel free to call me Rippit! It's been a long time since I've used the seam ripper this much on a quilt.
My Blackberry finally died after five years, so I picked up a new iPhone last night. It may be a question of the old dog/new tricks thing, but I'm going to give it the old college try. Famous last words - I said I wasn't buying any more "i" things!
Sigh ...

Edit: Turns out I have to take off two borders. I flipped the second one.

Well, it is beautiful!! I think the unsewing will be totally worth it!!
Oh! So sorry for having to 'rippit'! But your quilt is going to be gorgeous!
This is going to be so pretty. Sorry you are have ripping problems. Hey....we all go through it.
I love my iPhone but I never had a Blackberry. Still, I don't use it to the fullest extent possible.
oops...
sorry about the ripping but you could never stand it if the same fabrics touched!
It looks fantastic.Go less to finish!!
Well at least you are getting more up close fondling time with all those beautiful fabrics:). We who sew know we also must rip, lol! You'll get it right, I'm sure. I have an iPhone by default--I get all my daughter'leftovers when she upgrades!
What was it you commented to Cupcake - the quilt was so nice, you made it twice! I've been there lots and lots of times too.
I was a Blackberry girl after thinking I was never, ever, ever going to need or want a smartphone. As much as I loved that Blackberry, I only had it a few months when I was waiting for my iPhone. I had it for almost three years and just upgraded to the 5S last month. I. LOVE. IT.
The finger-touch pad... not so much. It doesn't want to read the fingers half the time... maybe I should start giving it the "other" finger. Grrr.
Have fun with the iPhone and I look forward to seeing Nantucket done! :)
oh yes, been there, done that! if a seam can be sewn, i have ripped it at least one time or another--and sometimes ripped and sewed the same seam multiple times! But i am glad that you are sewing on borders to your quilt. i have yet to start my quilt, but i hadn't thought of adding borders to make it larger. So when you started your borders last week, the old "light bulb" came on! fortunately our favorite online shop had enough fabric left for me to get some red for my outside border additions, so now i'm all set for sewing miles and miles of 9 patches and stars in December.
Thanks Vicki!
