I'm A Slug

It's just hot. It was 104 when I left the office at 5:30 and 102 when I got home 45 minutes later. We had about a half hour of rain on Sunday. It cooled things down for about 10 minutes, and then steam was rising off the sidewalks. I knew it was hot when Daisy didn't even want to walk on the sidewalk!

Got the binding on the Polka Dot Quilt on Sunday afternoon. That's the only quilty thing I've done in over a week. I'm just bone tired. I know it's from the heat.

Gratitudes:

~ Finding frozen spaghetti sauce in the freezer

~ Clean sheets on the bed

~ Connie got the box today. Second attempt - hooray!

OOOOO That back is AWESOME! Black on white background... HMMM (I am still leaning towards using my grays... I also thinking that my circles will be cats & might be different sizes - just a couple to mix it up....)

Vicky, that is just too hot to think, breathe or otherwise function. UGH. We had a breeze here today but it was just hot air-not good. No way would you want to be holding a hot old quilt for long.

That backing is perfect for this quilt. You have me thinking again about a circle quilt - I've wanted to make one for a while but applique isn't typically my favorite thing to do.

Goodness, I won't complain about our heat for a few days. Ready for winter yet? I sure am!

Wow! What a Quilt! If it doesn't have a home yet, I'll adopt it for you. :D

So sorry about the heat Vicky, I sure would send you a cool down if I had that power!! It seems like "sizzle" is the order of the day for most of the nation.

I remember well the steam rising from the pavement and puddles as soon as a rain stopped. We were living in Biloxi, Mississippi and I had never seen anything like that in WI!! Talk about humid...I think the whole west coast is getting way more than it's share!

I think everyone is suffering from the heat - even up here in Canada. The other day it cooled down to 82 and my Little Boy was fussing for a sweatshirt - said he was cold! We compromised with a long sleeved T, but no way was I going to put a sweatshirt on him! LOL! The heat zaps me too, so you are't all alone in that regard. Great backing for that quilt too - it is just perfect!

Cheers!

cute quilt and perfect backing! as a matter of fact, I have a "dotty" quilt on the design wall, although I didn't use dotty fabric in the dots.
