I'm So Excited!

The first package of the Merry Christmas to All BOM arrived today. Four blocks, plus the backing, and lots of adorable buttons and thread!

Every time I start thinking that things just can't get any better, then a project like this comes along! I love BOMs. I know there are those who criticize that, but let me just say that folks who are a whole lot smarter than me dream them up and pull them all together, and all I have to do is poke an order button! That's the part at which I excel! I get so excited when each shipment comes! A little bit of heaven spread out over the year! LOL

I can't wait to start this one, but I will. Priority to finish is my Prairie Paisley Patchwork Party! I'm about halfway done with the applique, and then I can really zoom on the piecing part of it! It's going to be beautiful!

I'm so motivated right now!!! I can't wait to get home each evening to sew or stitch. I can barely remember life before quilting, and I've only been at it almost seven years! Best decision I ever made!

I understand your joy. Joy about quilting and making something, and about having a kit come that takes the mind work out of it. We all have different jobs and we all need rest. For me, sometimes I just want to sit and sew and not have to think up the lay out or the border...I want it done for me...so I understand completely. I get packages quite frequently too from pushing buttons!

I agree - you are the Mother Superior of "button poking". LOL!

I, too, love BOMs. But I don't get to do as many as you do. I'll have to take some lessons from you in "button poking!" I also don't know what I would do if I didn't quilt. It's my sanity savior. I have met the most amazing friends through quilting and the best part of all is giving someone something so special.

How on earth are you holding out on that Merry Christmas to All BOM? I love that one and would probably have been tempted to stay up all night working on it. Even though I don't applique, I was tempted to order that one.

Yes, you deserve a prize for all that button poking you do! :)

Very cool. I had been eyeing that BOM up too but like Judy, I don't do applique very well. Usually end up starting and then it sits and sits and sits. I guess I'll just have to watch you make yours. I hope you post pictures often! Have fun!

That is one cute BOM! And I resisted poking that order button. I know I'll regret it, but such is life. LOL
