January Last Weekend Tasks

I had a January goal of backings, bindings and borders. I've done pretty darn good considering the daunting piles of things sitting here in my sewing room.

Here are three quilts that need bindings sewn on. I'll definitely get those done. Then Prairie Paisley needs the million yards of backing pieced. I am NOT looking forward to that, especially ironing all that fabric. But, alas, it must be done.

Drumroll here ..... that leaves only two quilts to work on. One needs to be squared and the backing pieced. The other one needs to be squared, a border added, and backing pieced.

I started out with 16 quilts/quilt tops that needed work. I'm down to two. Not bad for a January, my busiest month of the year!

Penny needs some training about how NOT to help her Mommy while she's in her sewing room. DO NOT pull on the ends of the bindings as they're being attached. DO NOT run off with binding strips. DO NOT turn over the trash can multiple times in a half hour. DO NOT - well, enough said.

But she's so cute!

Congratulations! That's great progress! Good luck with the training. I'd like to see her blog post about what she's trying to train you to do! lol!

- needs to leave strips of fabric in the floor for me at all times
- trash can must be full and upright at least every half an hour
- should move all fabric to the middle of the floor, it's no use to me on shelves

Good for you, last year your posts were about beautiful purchases and how you were going to be productive in 2010. Way to go! Sticking to your plan!

Oh my! That is VERY impressive. I am seriously in awe that you managed to just them done like that. Good for you!
My pups think any flimsy, new quilt, etc is for them so if I turn around for a second they are on it, pins and all!

Wow that is a huge accomplishment! I think it's time for penny to pick out a new quilt for you to start on!

Wow you are on a roll. It must feel good to knock that pile of guilt over - I don't know that feeling! Anything that's put down on the floor is to be stood on by a dog, haven't you read the Dog Union Charter?

Great job on all that you've gotten done in January, particularly with the work situation you've had.

The most used words in our house are Sassy No, over and over and over and it makes no difference whatsoever LOL. Pets...gotta love 'em!
