Plumb Worn Out

It was a long, hectic day, and I'm feeling my age tonight. Let's just say it's nice to be home and unhooked from the "contraption," if you know what I mean!

I was going to try to finish up this quilt tonight, but I kind of messed up on the borders and will probably redo them. I'll have to think about it a bit. I mean, I thought they were Vicky-proof, but I found the loophole in that theory!

I like the way it's turned out. Should have given it a good pressing before I snapped the picture.

Speaking of pressing .... I have a review that I'll get up this week on the iron that Santa left at Jane's house for me! I love it! I'm just too tired right now to think straight.

A hot bubbly bath is calling to me right about now!

The quilt is super soft and sweet looking, crinkles add to that. I hope you feel rejuvenated.

So soft and pretty, a very romantic look. Show us the others you want to make from that book....we may need to add it to our quilt libraries!

Hi ~ I just stumbleson your blog via my "blog hopping". I don't have a quilt blog, but I love to read them. I am just a beginning quilter, but I signed up for the Pennsylvania Dutch BOM and noticed that you did, too.

Question: do you square up your individual half-square triangles in the first block before sewing them together? Or do you just tweak them and hope the block turns out fine? Or do you sew perfectly and the block turns out the perfect 12.5 inches in the end?

Just wondering. :)

Hi Tracie! I'd like to tell you what I did, but I need to pull out the pattern and take a look at how they were cut before I answer you. I'm at work now but will do that when I get home. Send me a reminder, will you, to krz4kwlts@yahoo.com.

Thanks,
Vicky

Vicky,
Love your quilt so far. I loved the same pattern from the scrap basket surprises book. Your fabrics are perfect.
