Rain and Oops!

Got up an hour earlier today to get this block sewn together. I didn't even notice the problem until I was downloading the picture from my camera. Guess it's back to the sewing machine tonight! LOL

For those of you participating in the Pennsylvania Dutch BOM from The Fat Quarter Shop, please leave your comments HERE about your finished blocks. I know you'll do yours correctly. It's a case of don't follow the leader!!!!!

It's raining and I love the rain. I love almost everything about it - the "almost" part being the freeways here in SoCal in the rain. I've noticed the past couple of days that most folks are driving like they're supposed to drive in the rain. But there are always one or two hotdoggers who drive like they're in the Indy 500. Yesterday one guy was so close behind me that I thought he was trying to use my draft. Then I saw red lights, and he was pulled over. Yuk yuk.

I've been experimenting with Penny. Leaving her out of her kennel. I had a long talk with her about the honor system, and she's done pretty good. She gets in her nest on the sofa before I go upstairs to bed, and she's still there in the morning - whining to go outside. I hope this works out because I hate that she's kenneled so much, especially with the long work hours going on right now.

I'm off to work. Wish me luck!

I'm sure Penny will be a good girl :)

Gibby is trying to sell us on the same deal. He is only 4 months though, so he doesn't get carte blanche yet. Hey, it's only one seam you have to re-do.

I'm sure glad I take the Metrolink, although coming home last night was an adventure with the tracks being flooded and all...Sounds like Penny is being a very good girl! My daughter keeps her doggy kenneled a lot too, but she can't be trusted. Sounds like Penny can be.

What a good girl Penny is...

Don't feel bad for the amount of time Penny has to be in her crate, she could not find a more loving home, someone else could have adopted her, stay home with her, and ignore her. Penny is a very lucky dog! But I'm glad to hear she's being a good girl. Cooper has recently earned free run of the house at night, so far so good. He's usually not too far from me, day or night. He still gets crated when I leave the house, too many temptations!

Your block made me laugh...who hasn't done that, and always when we're hurrying!

Don't you just hate it when your trying to get a block finished and something like that happens! But better to notice it now before it's sewed into a row.

It's only one seam, easy as pie. And I bet Penny will be really good if you let her stay out of her kennel.

That's what happens to me sometimes. Funny how you don't see it before. I once notice something like that after putting the picture on my blog LOL

I make the same kind of error when I'm going slow. . . .so I can understand how a hurried block could turn out that way.

Good luck with Penny; our Casey has separation anxiety so we have to keep her to one room when we go to work. Since we use a screen across the doorway I feel better than I would if we had to actually close the door on her.

Uh oh! Don't you hate it when that happens?

Good luck with Penny!

Good luck with Penny. We will crate our mail when we leave the house, but only because the dogs will start playing, and two 100 pound dogs leaping over and around furniture is not a good thing!

We got plenty of your rain leftovers this week...no need to send more, but I hear there's more coming. Part of our yard is already a small pond!

Whoops, I meant "male", not "mail". It's been a long week *sigh*.

That's good that Penny is being good in the house, she will appreciate it. Mine sleep on the bed which shows how hopeless I am! I do have a baby gate though which keeps them out of the kitchen etc.
Isn't it amazing how things 'slip through the net'? You certainly aren't the first one to do it!
