Well, that might be a bit dramatic, but that's kind of how I feel right now.
I took a tumble yesterday. One of those instances where you have your hands full and miss the bottom step. I really banged my head and my hands got tangled in the tub I was carrying.
Today I'm sore all over. My head is okay, but I have two or three fingers that are sore and aching. My shoulder was wrenched. It's not damaged but just sore. My left knee is sore. My right hip is sore.
Frankly, I'm surprised there wasn't seismic activity recorded when I hit the ground!
A very busy week this week, but I did manage to get one binding hand stitched and started another.
Baby steps.
But right now I'm baby stepping back to bed. Too bad they don't make full body heating pads!

Beautiful quilt! Sorry you're hurting. :-(
Ouch! I hope you get to feeling better soon.
Ouchie! I really hope that you're OK and that your soreness isn't covering up a more serious injury. If you start saying weird things like you're getting rid of your stash, or you're going to buy a purple school bus, we'll know your injuries were much more substantial and we'll get help for you :o)
P.S. Beautiful quilt!
So sorry you are hurting, have you checked in with a doctor to be sure things are just bruised? Do you have an electric blanket that you can use as a full body heating pad? I swear this is why one of my sons keeps coming home, he plugs in the blanket and grabs a nap....swears his aches feel better.
Feel better. You can get a heated mattress pad - just like a heating pad!
That sounds like something I would do;)
I hope you feel better, rest and let the muscles heal.
They do, it is called an electric blanket;)
Debbie
Poor you, I hope you feel better soon! Beautiful quilt though, and if I'm not mistaken, that is some Fig Tree fabric.
Ouchie, Ouchie, OUCH!!!!
Feel better soon!
Beautiful quilt.
Easy does it--- My mom would tell you the good Lord is telling you to slow down... Love this quilted piece...
Lovely quilt. Take care-hope your body recovers quickly.
Pretty quilt--great progress! Hate that missing the last step, have done it a few times myself and jarred my back.
The last time I took a tumble--at a family reunion softball game when my over-enthusiastic young cousin dove to cover first base and I tripped over him and flew through the air--I purposefully turned and landed on my shoulder to protect my hands :) I had shoulder and hip pain too but it cleared up pretty fast since I landed on grass. I hope you landed on carpeting! Feel better soon.
Oh no! I'm so sorry to read about your tumble. I have done that too, and it usually feels like I've been hit by a truck for a few days. I hope you are a fast healer. ;-) And if any pains linger, that you get an x-ray. Your quilt is lovely! Snuggle down in it and rest. Gentle ((hugs))
Ihope you are feeling better. So glad you are finally getting to sew some. Beautiful quilt.
I've missed that bottom step before and it isn't fun. I hope you are feeling better soon. Your quilt is very pretty and it's a good thing you've got some quilt ready for binding while you heal.
Rest up and take care!
Good grief Vicky! I'm so glad nothing seems to have been seriously injured. Are you ok now?
I hope you are feeling better soon but don't be surprised if you feel a little worse in 2 days. A couple of years ago I tripped down the stairs. My DH caught me and I thought I had escaped injury. Two days later I was laying on the floor with a wrenched back. I stayed there for a week! So take good care of yourself for the next few days.
Sweetie, hoping you feel better soon.. Sleep away the weekend and just work on another binding or appy as you feel like doing so. Wish you had the Saints to watch tomorrow afternoon!
Love you,
Marilyn
Feel better Vicky. Your quilt is very pretty. Glad you got that accomplished.
Ohhh goodness. Take care and get some rest! Advil helps :o) I took a tumble, tripped on a dog laying next to my bed, hit my head on the dresser and then for an encore it hit the floor. Blood everywhere... yikes! Then a month or so later I started with vertigo from the stupid head injury. So I can relate! A nice tub soak works wonders :o)
Oh - Ouch! Now you neeed to take it easy this weekend. Hope you are feeling better real soon.
Pretty qu9lt.
Oh no Vicky...please take care and lots of Advil. I did that last year and it makes everything in your body feel like it's jostled out of whack for a few days. Feel better!
Oh good gracious, so glad it wasn't worse and I'll bet Penny is glad she wasn't the cause!take care and rest.
It is funny how we dont think we will have a tumble.. but it sure hurts I think our pride more than the physical pain. Please be careful.. don'
t want you to be more seriously hurt where you cannot enjoy your sewing ..It sure seems like you work too hard already... take care
Do you need me to send you some bubble wrap, friend? I'm so sorry you've hurt yourself. {{{{HUGS}}}}
But the quilt looks beautiful! Eve in GA
That sounded painful! I bet you are sore. Hope you get to feeling better soon.
Oh my!! Same sentiment for the fall & the quilt. . . just different meanings. LOL
I hope you are feeling much better now.
Ouch!! Don't know about you, but I just don't bounce as well as I used to. Hope your soreness and bruises heal quickly.
