Absolutely Nothing to Report

I'm working long hours trying to get my second quarter stuff all ready for the CPA on Thursday. I thought I would be able to finish it today but I didn't get some scrap prices until the very end of the day. So I will finish up that last report tomorrow and plug in all the numbers. I left work at 5:45 today. I had been pounding the calculator all day and my shoulder was tightening up on me. I need to take a couple of Tylenol or something and lay down and rest it.

This picture of Daisy shows what I deal with every time I sit down at the computer. She's got the sit-up-and-beg-and-look-pitiful routine down pat!

Not much sewing going on around here lately. I've got a block laying on my sewing table. Two seams and it'll be sewn together. But as tired as I've been lately when I get home, I'll probably mess it up. Better to leave it until the weekend. I felt guilty, though, last night for wanting to go to bed without having done one single quilty thing. So I stood at my cutting table for five minutes and cut a few 2.5" strips. The strip tubs are filling up nicely. I'm really anxious to get in them and create something.

My thoughts and support and love are with Jace and Sally today.

hang in there... its OK to be too tired to want to sew -- though not recommended on an ongoing basis :-)

I agree with quiltpixie. Don't sew when you aren't in the mood or you'll regret it. But good for you for cutting a few more scraps up. You really can get stuff accomplished with just 5 minutes at a time as I'm discovering myself. You'll get caught up at work and will feel like being more productive soon enough so go to bed if that's what you feel like doing. That's where I'm heading right now that I've spent my 5 minutes (that stretched into 15)in my sewing room.

Cute picture of Daisy!

What is she begging for? Do you keep snacks by the computer or does she want to sit in your lap?

you must get some rest. sewing will be there when you're ready! you'll be able to enjoy it more when you're rested.

glad you know not to worry when you are that tired..once that final report is done, then you should be able to get back in the quilting groove! wonderful antique blocks..nice that you were able to get all of them and can enjoy whatever you decide to do with them!

I am very familiar with the cat version of that pose. Good for you cutting a bit when sewing was out---it all adds up. Maybe you will enjoy your sewing time a lot more come, the weekend, than making yourself do it now. I find I reverse sew a lot more when my heart is not in it.

When you are tired, let yourself rest. You'll wake up bright and chipper and able to do more quilty stuff. And maybe some accounting stuff as well.

Vicky, look at that piece of fabric that's folded on the shelf kinda behind Daisy but to her right. It looks black with some brights. I want to see more of it when you have time. It looks interesting.
