Old Ladies East Dessert First!

I was so hot when I got home. I just wanted something cold. I opted for a bottle of water instead of a Dr. Pepper thinking that was better for me. But then I needed something sweet...it's a viscious circle! But for all the young puppies out in Blogger Land, old ladies like me can get away with this! LOL!

Today was SO boring. I read contracts and legal writings all day. About 4:00 I honestly think I fell asleep for a moment. So I stood up real fast, and the CEO saw me and motioned me into his office. The first words out of his mouth, "I'm SO sleepy!" We had a good laugh about that one!

Gratitudes:

~ LB's DH is home from the hospital and doing great! PTL!

~ Leora made me smile today -- just cuz!

~ Mar made me LOL today -- froggies for my loggies!

~ Two more tax returns out today. Payroll returns tomorrow and I'm done!! Hooray!

~ Thank you, Mr. Haagen-Dazs, wherever you are!

Chad loves that butter pecan ice cream too! I was the only one home tonight so I fried scallops . . not sure if I would have been better off eating ice cream for dinner. At least you opted for the water instead of the DP!

You always have room for desert if you eat is first. Thats what I say anyway.

life is too short NOT to eat dessert first. My husband is the one with the ice cream habit around here albeit the lowest fat content he can purchase. My thought is why bother if you take all the fat (and sometime sugar---ack!) out of it. Make it a once and awhile treat and enjoy every delicious bite. I will never forget the time my sis was visiting from CO with my two nieces---Amber was probably 7 at the time and was overheard telling her daddy on the phone "Uncle Darel has ice cream every night and I get to have some" What she didn't say is that we had picked out some oh some yummy premium stuff for us girls! He is still known as the "ice cream" uncle.

That's my kind of dinner! In this house we call those Pints - Dixie Cups (guess I'm dating myself - lol)

I got to taste test some butter pecan ice cream at the grocery store today. No room in the freezer to buy my own carton though, thank goodness. That water looks nice and cold. I recommend a nap or an early bedtime. Your polkadot quilt is so cute. Looks like those tests they give you to check for colorblindness.
