Okay, Here's the Deal... WINNER

What a morning. I have a 4:00 appointment with the on-call emergency dentist because two of these so-called temporary teeth have broken. I'm not at all pleased right now, and that's saying it as kindly as I can.

I let the random number generator thing pick the winner.

The winner of the $50 gift certificate to the Fat Quarter Shop is ........

LuAnn of Loose Threads blog.

Congrats, LuAnn. I see that you're now in Paducah enjoying the quilt show. Please contact me with your email address so I can get that gift certificate ordered for you.

Thank you to everyone for delurking. However, there is absolutely no need to ever leave a comment if you don't want to. I'm really not concerned about that at all. I just thought this would be fun way to have a give-away!!! And it was -- wasn't it?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I just checked some stats on my blog and 562 folks have viewed it in the last 24 hours. Thirteen people have left comments.
So this week is the LA Quilter DeLurking Party!
The rules are simple: Leave a comment and be eligible for the drawing.
The drawing will be held on Sat. 4/30/11 at around noon California time. The prize will be a $50 gift certificate to the Fat Quarter Shop. Tell us what you'd buy with that gift certificate. Just remember to leave an identifier, either email or blog, so I can contact the winner.
It's a great way to end this awful, tax-filled, dentist-filled, car-trouble-filled month!
Good luck!
I try not to lurk. I always try to leave comments on as many blogs as possible! Sometimes even with comments I find it hard to say something original.
Guilty: I am a lurker. I love reading blogs, but tend to mostly lurk in the background! This is the year when I'm going to make a dent in my stash, so I'd buy patterns, books, and maybe just a little bit of Christmas fabric! I'm thinking I'd like to make a Christmas quilt for everyone in my family. Crazy, I know! Thanks for the chance to enter your contest!
I get 200 people some days and 10 comments, lol.
But nice to know I have something interesting for them to look at;)
I would buy fabric, noticed today I need more greens.
Hard to find good ones in my local store.
It sucks that people don't always leave a comment, but then again ... I don't have time to leave comments on every blog that I read. *hanging head in shame*
Since I just put in my second order in a couple of weeks at the Fat Quarter Shop, I have absolutely NO idea what I would get. lol
Yes, I'll admit to lurking. I have the RSS Feed set which tells me whenever you make a new post. I love the FQS and would LOVE a Gift Certificate. So much fabric! I'd buy fabric for my favorite two subjects -- my grandson and charity. I quilt monthly with a group of ladies making baby quilts for a clinic in DC.
i don't lurk here ... but you already know that cuz i have teased you repeatedly about the bolt of cheddar (i can't BELIEVE it's a solid and you STILL can't use it - sheesh) ... i DO lurk on SOME PEOPLE's blogs, but if i mention them, then i wouldn't be a closet lurker anymore ... as for WHAT i would buy with $50 at the FQS - NOT a bolt of cheddar, cuz my LA quilting buddy has some that she'd probably give me a piece of if i asked nicely ... how's that for awkward wording?!?
You are on my RSS feed - so I do read every new post - you're an inspiration to me!
Sorry to read about your car issues, Vicki. We have never had our cars in the shop for three weeks. Sounds very frustrating at the least. And...dental work... is not fun. Work can be overwhelming at times. I hope things get turned around for you and you can enjoy life soon. Sounds like a get away is in order. :)
If I were the fortunate person to win your generous give away, I believe I would put the money towards a quilt kit I have had my eye on.
Thanks for the give away opportunity. I always enjoy viewing your home shopping results, on your posts!! Your latest project looks fun.
I don't have my own blog so I live vicariously through others like you *head is hanging lower now*. I will try to comment more, though in all fairness, I have been recovering from surgery...well, that's not really fair either cause I have lurked for a long time. I will try to do better. Hugs...
OH...almost forgot, what would I buy? I would add the $$ hubby gave me for my birthday two weeks ago to buy fabric with and buy a fat quarter bundle, PLEASE don't make me choose just yet though, cause I'm having a bad time deciding. I do almost always read when you have a new post, but don't usually comment unless I feel like I have something worthwhile to say - and I tend to not comment on the high profile/high traffic blogs. I guess I just feel a bit intimidated. If I won I would use the certificate to buy fabric to make my boyfriend a quilt. I have an idea in mind, a pattern I want to use and since he's inthe military and stationed far away from me it'd be nice for him to have something I made to curl up with!
So glad that the car seems to be working now. Can it be the Quiltmobile, or has it lost that privilege forever? :~)
I love your blog and found it from Judy L. at Patchwork Times. I have commented some. I do not have a blog and think I would not have much of interest to anyone but I have about convinced myself to jump in. With the gift card, there is so much I would like, I am not sure what I would choose. Kona solids probably as that is my new favorite thing. My husband was out of work for 6 months until recently so fabric was way down on the priority list. This would be so nice.
Ann said...
Hi,
I read your blog every time you have a new post. It's on my google feed. I don't know how that affects the stats. I enjoy hearing about your quilting journeys and everything else.
If I win the gift cert, I'd probably get some more Sunkissed fabrics or one of Art Gallery's lines.
Sorry to hear of your car woes. I went through that once when i was commuting. No fun at all.
Vivian said...
O.k. I do lurk too. But with over 100 blogs (just related to various aspects of quilting!) in my blog reader (and usually 20-30 new posts each day), I only post comments if I have something to add to the conversation. Usually a few people have already said exactly what I would!
It already takes a few (albeit enjoyable) hours to read all the posts (and the interesting links they generate), if I commented on each I'd never get to sew! And as you can see, I am rarely brief.
Oh and the giveaway -- hmmm, a FQ bundle like the Bella 30s solids or the wool crazys or a CW sampler, any would be nice!
Suzanne said...
Well I haven't commented in a while but I do love to read your blog! If I won the gift certificate I think I would get the Smitten kit. Well I will probably get it anyway but I would get it a little faster!! Thank you for the chance to win and I will comment more frequently!! :)
