Stash Report 2011 - Week 22

Nothing much has changed. I'm sewing, but not counting anything yet. Honestly, I don't know how I'll figure out the nine patches when I'm done with them. I'll probably take a very conservative stab at the bust on that one. Of course, the finish is still off on the horizon - a long time away!

There was a bit of incoming - some pieces from a friend to add to my baskets, drunkard's paths and nine patches. A good estimate of 2.5 yards.

Yesterday was an errand day and haircut, etc. I did manage to grab a couple of purses on sale. This morning I'm not overly enthused by either of them, but they'll work for now. I couldn't find the color I really wanted for summer. Will have to keep looking for that. I really don't get those designer purses. Sure, they're pretty, but not very practical for me.

Finally caught up on sleep last night. I was up very early today, but hopefully can crash early and be back on schedule by tomorrow. In the meantime, I'll be at the humming Bernina if anyone needs me!!

Year to Date:

Busted: 236.45 yards
Purchased: 298.275 yards
Net YTD: (61.825) yards busted :(

I love 9 patch quilts. I'm -still- working on a 9 patch sampler that I started hand piecing about 5 years ago. Happy sewing!

Have a good day sewing! You've earned it after errand day. Those are never very fun.

just pm me the size of one square in the 9 patch and i'll figure out how many 9 patches in a yard for you. then all you'll have to do is separate the 9 patches into bunches to figure out the yardage you've busted.

There is just something so soothing about the mindless sewing of 9 patches or string blocks. I am off to finishing assembling a top for my soon to be new daughter in law. All the blocks done, or the columns really but I only have three long seams left to do and then I can move on to the backing. her 40th was 2 weeks ago two and I din't get this done in time! Baby Ilika got in the way (of course not really!)
