Sewing Day!

I had the most fun today sewing with Jane. She came over this morning and left about 9:00 tonight. She got lots more accomplished than I did as I continued to piece the woven border on my niece's quilt. She told me I could share this picture of the blocks she was working on.

Are these adorable? The pattern is "Fore & Aft" by Mountainpeek Creations. Jane has a HUGE stash of black and white fabrics, and the pink is perfect with them! Such a simple block but stunning!

Gratitudes:

~ A perfect day sewing with my quilting buddy!

~ A phone call with Mar and her sewing day quilting buddies!

~ Great Mexican dinner!

~ My brain is about to bust wide open from all the inspiration! :)

Oh a fun day! Those black and white prints with the touch of pink are adorable. I hope that she'll let you show us the whole quilt. :-)

Thanks to Jane for sharing. I've seen a few ideas lately with black and whites and sparing use of brights lately that really appeal. Sounds like a fun day.

Thank Jane for letting us take a peek and hey, good for you continuing on the pieced border for your nieces quilt! It probably would have been easy to start pulling fabric to make your own version of what Jane was doing instead!

OOH! I have a pretty good stash of black/whites but had never thought to put them with pink! I love her pattern. Another that I just HAVE to do someday. You know if I keep blogging I'll have to live to be 300 in order to make all the quilts I fall in love with. LOL!

I'm so glad you had a nice, fun sewing day. And Mexican to boot. One of my favorite meals. :-)

That is so neat! I also love blacks and whites and that pink looks fantastic with it. Will she let you show us a picture when she's finished?

Glad you two had a fun day.
