Penny
Miss Penny decided that the day she turned one year old, that she would turn into a holy terror. I mean, I'm assuming that's what she decided since that's what happened.
I'm going to get birthday pictures of her this weekend, but I quickly snapped this one yesterday morning. See all that thread on the sofa? It's the remains of a spool of Gutermann silk thread. It was everywhere! While I was cleaning that up, she was pulling at the bottom of my PJs and barking. When I got up to toss everything away, she turned over the almost empty trash can in my sewing room. While I was on my hands and knees cleaning that up, she pulled started pulling patterns off of a shelf. While I was putting those back, she overturned her water bowl in the kitchen and was barking away at it. All this in five minutes.
What happened to my sweet little puppy?
Sigh .... I was glad it was time to head off to work!
She received lots of wonderful birthday presents. She has a cupcake all ready for her birthday picture. I'm wondering if she'll sit still long enough to let me capture it on the camera. I do believe it's time to get the larger kennel out of the garage and into the house. Will probably need some "time outs" this weekend.
Right now she's running 100 yard dashes around the house. Do her batteries run low at some point? I think she's related to the Energizer bunny.
But she's cute. And I love her.
I'm just getting O-L-D!!

sounds like Penny is the canine equivalent of a human two year old - i'm not a psychic but i see lottsa time on the naughty spot in her future
I would be scared what I might find when you get home from work.
She's beautiful--- if we could only bottle that energy and sell it... we'd all be millionaires....
LOL!! My dog is 7 and she still goes through my sewing trash basket.
I hope you have MANY more years!! Happy Birthday Penny!!
She'll keep you on your toes and YOUNG!
She's adorable! Dog Whisperer says: A twice daily walk is a must for energetic young dogs. Thank goodness Charlie and Lola are old now....
I am obviously NOT the pack leader! Sigh.. Good luck!

She sounds like my Maggie! She'll run around like a Tasmanian devil and don't be barefooted when she does. Your toes are in grave peril. Then all of a sudden she plops down like nothing happened. Maggie's two now and she's done (Lord hear my prayer) with the destruction phase. Good luck.
She must be related to Sassy. I lose count at how many times I have to scold her each day, but she's so cute that she gets forgiven right away. So far today she's stolen a spool of thread, an empty needle package, dipped her paw in my cup of water to get a drink, and stolen one of my flash drives.
Penny will keep you young!
Oh my goodness could she be related Cooper! What a cutie - a stinker but a cutie, too. LOL
Penny sounds like what we used to call our youngest as a toddler: "The Hurricane"--because this is what she would have me doing all day, cleaning up one mess after another. I used to say it was a good thing she was born with "personality plus" because it kept me from strangling her on multiple occasions! She'll be 20 in a few weeks, sigh.
I would say she is going into the terrible twos. Good luck!
Happy B-Day Ms. Penny! I'm sure it was a little "test" for your mommy to see how fast she can clean up the mess! LOL
What a sweetie! She just wanted to give you a little exercise! lol
ROFLOL!!!! Tell Penny she's not allowed to have anyone over while you are at work! I'm not going to tell Gidget what Penny did...don't want her getting any ideas! She has too many ideas of her own. One time when my husband and I were out to dinner she ate the whole back cover to one of my computer books! Another time she got into her bag I use for when she goes to her babysitter and she ate all her treats!!! I think that one was MOMMY's fault. Oh well...you just love em anyway!!! Happy Birthday Penny!!!
She looks so innocent! Welcome to the teenage years, maybe! Cheers!
You can tell by looking in her eyes and her tail is almost "quivering" in the photo that she is just gearing up for another dash around the house! What a lot of fun!! Penny---please come to my house and play a while while your mom quilts!
