Design Wall Monday - 1/3/11

I decided yesterday afternoon that I didn't want to work on my UFO, didn't want to work on a Monochromatic quilt, and I just wanted to sew without thinking.

So I pulled this little teeny kit out. It's Patchwork Santa by Jan Patek, and finishes 24 x 30. Just need to get the borders on, simply quilt it, and put some buttons for Santa's eyes. That plaid brushed cotton at the bottom of the picture is the backing.

Gotta love those easy projects!!

Visit Patchwork Times to check out what others worked on this weekend. Design Wall Monday is such an inspiration!

Neat project and I appreciate getting a head start on next year. I'm working on winter theme blocks for a new quilt next year.

Sometimes you really NEED to have a mindless project that you can sew while you relax.

Too cute. Those easy projects are perfect to clear the brain of clutter for me :) (I tend to get a lot of brain clutter, LOL)

Your quilt is so cute. I agree some days all a girl wants is to sew without thinking! It is good for the soul

You are on the right track, lol. It must be nice to finish a project. I was determined to finish up my basket quilt by the middle of this month, and haven't had a chance to sew but 2 hours total in the last 2 weeks. Store up your stamina for when you retire, that's when I seemed to have lost mine. This is really cute, and will make a nice gift for someone or for yourself.

Oh, yes, the kit as a lifesaver! I love that the decision making is already taken care of. Looking really cute!

I love the mindless things! I have 3 tops going off to the longarm quilter this week that were pretty much mindless but I feel oh so productive. Santa is so cute and you have a Chrsitmas gift ready before the end of January, I'm envious.
