The picture below empties out two tubs.
The gallon Ziploc on the left is stuff with 2" strips. The big bag on the right is full of 2.5" strips. I'm not going to use them. I don't want them any more. I want those two tubs for other things.
Does anybody out there want them for scrap quilts? If so, just leave a comment and we'll have a drawing tomorrow night, Monday 1-24-11, when I get home from work. If no one wants them, they'll be given to someone locally to put in dog beds for the shelter.
Thanks!!!

Hi Vicky,
Funny I just cleaned 2 spots in my sewing room that scraps seem to land. My husband goes to coffee every morning and in conversations with one of the workers she asked him what I do with my scraps. He came home and asked me, I told him they just collect. The worker and a group of her friends collect scraps to make prayer quilts for babies and children who are critically sick. So I gathered them and filled a garbage sack (wow, no idea there was that much) and sent him to coffee the next morning. It also gave me some inspiration to make a couple of quilts myself. Funny how people we do not even know inspire us.
Love your blog. Chris W.
Sure, I like scrap quilts for Project Linus. And maybe a cat bed for the shelter. ;)

I'd love your scraps. Most of my quilts are scrap quilts and I seem to use 2 in. or 2 1/2 in. squares in most everything. Besides, other peoples scraps just might have that perfect square that you've been missing.

Please enter me into the draw. I wanted to make some scrap quilts and realized - my mother has scraps (1970s 1980s vintage) but I do not. Guess I'm too frugal with using every bit. I would like "my own scraps" even if win them from someone else. With these, I can make some lap quilts for church donation. Thanks for the opportunity.
