Hump Day!

I'm so tired lately. And I remembered today that I get real tired at this time every year. I think it's when the hot weather sets in down here. I adjust to it somewhat but basically I stay indoors. It was so hot today when I got in the car to get lunch. I'm going to have to start packing a lunch in the morning, I guess. You would have thought, coming from the South, that I'd be able to handle this heat. :(

This is a little quilt made for the Veterans Hospital project about a year or so ago. It was one of those online mystery quilts. It's not very good, a lot of missing points, because I tried to do this one during that one-handed quilting time. When I mailed it off to the coordinator, I was just hoping that it wouldn't end up with a veteran who had quilters in his/her family!

I was upstairs in the stash room a little while ago taking stock of brights up there. I think with the polka dot collection that I've got a good start on a Freddy Moran quilt. Now I just have to decide which one to do! LOL

How did you end up in California? It's a long way from home....

Yup, pretty muggy yesterday, wasn't it?
Was this quilt from a Planet Patchwork mystery? Looks familiar ...
Who do you do the Veterans quilts with?

It was 109 here yesterday. It saps all my energy and is hard to get motivated. Can't wait to get to Tahoe!

Yummy quilt!

It is hard at the beginning of the summer because it just takes awhile to get used to the heat. Good excuse for working in the basement in the quilt room!

Jeanne, thanks for the reminder. Yes,that's where it came from. Isn't that block called "corns and beans" or some such vegetables? LOL

Nadine, we were transferred out here. Wish I had known then what I know now! :)

Looks good from here! Seriously, how you ever did any quilting/sewing one handed is phenomenal. I bet not many of us would. You are bit, girl!

Love the little quilt Vicky. No one will notice that points are missing if you don't tell them. I didn't - all I thought about was how much I liked it. Simple, patriotic, and stunning!

Can't wait to see what you do with the polka dots. I asked the LQS to get the Freddy Moran book for me.

Love your little quilt and I'm betting no one ever noticed points missing. We're all way too hard on ourselves. Your work has always been perfect as far as I could see!

We are STILL wearing winter jackets in Canada - can you believe that? Tulips are just up and the trees are sprouting little green leaves - ah spring!

Your quilt came out great for a mystery!

Cheers!
