Nashville Show

Judy called last night from Nashville. Our quilt is hanging! This is exciting for me. Of course, there's no ribbon on it, but that's just fine with me. Judy's Licorice Delight didn't ribbon either, and it's a stunning quilt. (sigh)

Dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Boss was lovely last night. I was comfortably full after the meal, and then they popped out with the birthday dessert. Oh, my! A pastry tart with vanilla ice cream and fresh berries, drizzled with caramel. That put me over the top. I had to waddle in when I got home. Next week I must go on a diet! Next week!

Tonight is Applique Club. I packed up my suitcase this morning with a couple of show and shares that will show layering, etc., to the new folks in there. It would be easier if I didn't have to bring so much stuff with me. This time I've packed the light box. Daisy freaks every time I pull out the suitcase, so I just left it downstairs in my sewing room from the Club two weeks ago, thinking she would get used to it. Nope. She gives it wide berth. LOL

I can't wait to hear all about the show from Judy and other friends who attended. Someday I hope to make it there.

Ahem - the judges are obviously blind in one eye and struggle with their sight in the other eye because that quilt deserves a ribbon. Judy's Licorice Delight is stunning as well.

I'm glad that you had a good birthday dinner - enjoy Applique Club tonight wish I could be there.

Oh my! That is absolutely gorgeous. I think you should have won a ribbon too. Maybe we should start a petition. :-D

I love that quilt, I can't believe it didn't get a ribbon! I love those colors. See you at the applique group tonight, I have my little bag of stuff all packed up. Don't let me buy anything! Ya sure!

What Darlene said!! Yippee, how exciting to have your quilt in such a big show. As the stars so often say....."its an honor just to be nominated..."

You got robbed! LOL! I know what you mean though--although I've certainly never shown a quilt at a BIG, HUGE show like that, there was one year when I had a quilt in my local guild show, and although I didn't get any kind of ribbon from the judges, I did win Members' Choice and Viewers' Choice--go figure! LOL! Just know that we all think you and Judy do marvelous work, and you both get first place ribbons from all of us out here in Blogland!

What a beautiful quilt. And not even a hint of a ribbon? How can that be? I think it deserves the ribbon don't you? :-)
Glad you had a happy birthday dinner. And sounds like you had an even better dessert. YUMMY!!!!Anything with caramel is good with me. I have a squeeze bottle of it and I just tilt my head back and squeeze it into my mouth. LOL!!!!

What an absolutely beautiful quilt! I cannot believe you didn't win an award! An injustice has occurred in the quilt world!
