Stash Report Week 45

I came in here feeling smug because I didn't think purchases were made this week. Wrong! ROFLOL. There were two receipts stuck in my stash report notebook. I picked up four yards of cheddar prints, and nineteen yards of Astor Manor.

Believe it or not, there are only a couple of things left to get this year, and I spotted one of them tonight while suffering insomnia and surfing the net. The other I ordered today. So I'm done. Next year I'll be a stash busting fool! Oh, and a cooking fool, too. I'm determined to cook one weekend a month and live out of the freezer for the remainder of the month. More sewing time!

Year-to-Date Totals:

Busted: 176.25 yards
Purchased: 734.45 yards
Net YTD: <558.20> yards

And I really feel bad about this, but I'm disallowing anonymous comments for a while. Feel free to email me, and I'll be happy to post your comment if you wish. Thanks.

I like your bravery in sharing your totals. Will watch with interest as you bust in 2010

I love reading your totals and purchases. While I will never have a job that pays like you, so I will never be able to purchase like you do, you should enjoy every minute of it! Don't let a sourpuss pull you down. I like seeing the pictures of yummy fabrics. Who cares if you don't turn in all into quilts the next week?

I also enjoy reading your blog and about all of your purchases....

..and this is your blog, so you can do whatever you want to do, so don't feel bad about limiting anon comments.

This is going to sound funny, but you are SOOO close to 1000 yards purchased for the year... You should shoot for that instead of busting anything!! lol

At least you have busted almost 200 yards this year, too! Way to go!!

I don't blame you on the anonymous comments, that one yesterday was totally rude and mean spirited. You handled it well. Yeah for stash busting.

Can't wait to see your stash turn into quilts over the next year.

I saw the additional vileness that pig left and am not sorry to see anonymous comments go.

Sometimes I wish I could just go over your house and sew quilts with you for several hours. It'd be fun to pet and play with all your stash... and hey, you'd get a couple quilt tops in return. ;)

I can't wait to see what you make with some of these lines!
Don't feel bad, it really isn't hard for someone to be unannon. if they really want to comment.

Just think! with all your wonderful fabric you will be able to make wonderful quilts in 2010!

I wish you lived closer too. I'd love to see your stash closet. Have you started thinking about what patterns you're going to use with the fabric you're buying yardage from?

I want to come pet all your fabric, and Penny too!! Remember, petting fabric is theraputic! It makes you feel good doesn't it?

It was hard, but I am still string in not buying anything. I had some things in my card at the fatqaurtershop, but didn't make it through the ordering. I am so strong LOL.
Could luck with the busting next year

Good for you! It's your blog...you do whatever you want, say whatever you want...I just don't get these people...I swear I don't!
I love your cooking and eating out of the freezer idea!

thanks Vicky!! I haven't been able to find colors like that for my stash since the old Thimbleberry lines back in early 2000's or so.

One thing I dislike about the Internet is that it allows people you don't even know to judge you. I had a nasty comment this weekend at retreat about my fabric buying habits. That's none of anyone's dang business. You have beautiful taste in fabric, you don't buy willy nilly and who cares anyway? I very much enjoy seeing your new fabric goodies and your many, many, many finished projects!

You forgot about 23 yards of fabric? ? ? LOL You are just too funny. Love ya, my friend.

good for you for supporting the quilting industry!! what would happen if we all managed to keep our resolve about not adding to our stashes?

Cheddars make such nice accent colors. Can't wait to see all the quilts you make next year.

ooohhh aawwwww, I love Astor Manor, and I'm collecting cheddars and greens right now so it was good to see some other prints that are out there. I did a little retail therapy this weekend too.;-)Thanks for sharing.

I love your spirit! I'm going to get better at machine sewing next year and learn to cook (I'm only 60, it's time to start .... maybe!)

Thanks so much for generosity in purchasing the fundraising quilt along with Kimberly! It's so wonderful to read about people like you making a difference in the lives of others!
Just don't listen to the crazy comments people leave - don't let them ruin your day - just keep on blogging

you need a "blogging without obligation" button ... i should probably check to see if you have one before i write that, but i'm a lazy commenter ... anywho - i'm all for stash BUILDING instead of stash BUSTING ... and you are pretty doggone good at it!

Why do people feel the need to be so negative and hateful :O(...

Haven't been by in a while, popped in tonight to find this all going on ... mercy sakes...

I love reading your stash report. I'm afraid to add up how much I have! And, like they say, if you see it and like it, you better get it now cos it will be gone later. Anyhow that's my reasoning.....and I'm sticking to it LOL
