Stash Report 2010 - Week 8

Pennsylvania Dutch BOM participants, please go HERE to post your finished blocks to be entered in the monthly drawing.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was really busy at work this week, getting home later, so not much time to sew. Saturday I vegged. But I did manage to finish the borders on Cobble Stones, the Fig Tree club quilt, and pieced the backing for that. So 3.25 yards busted.
No purchases this week.
Also got the big Heritage quilt squared, and I think I've decided to add a border not called for on the pattern. It needs to be about 10" bigger to drape properly on my tall mattress. I'll work on that tomorrow. Maybe by next week I'll have the borders and backing done. That would be a nice bust. We'll see.
I officially have only one more quilt in the must-do UFO pile - the dreaded mitered borders. Guess I can't put it off any longer. (sigh)
Kind of a blah week, but still in the black - barely!
Year-to-Date Totals:
Busted: 79.875 yards
Purchased: 66.625 yards
Net YTD: 13.250 yards busted
I went back and last year at this time you were in the red, so you're doing a great job! Keep it up. You CAN do mitered borders!
You are right on target! I haven't tried mitered borders yet either, but it's on my list of things to learn in the next few months. I love learning new things even though I need to make some major mistakes in the process. I love Fig Tree quilts too!
Ok, Vicky, I have posted on my blog so JudyL can identify "HER",lol. And you are allowed to win another CF quilt. I will get the info up as soon as I can get it from Dana.We have had a "full life" the last 6 months and both of us have been procrastinating. Glad to see you doing all you are doing...wish I could say I was getting some quilting done...maybe soon.
Beautiful quilt and congrats on still being in the black! I don't keep track on a weekly basis, but given what I've purchased so far since January 1, I can make a pretty accurate guess that I am NOT in the black for the year! LOL
