I spent yesterday thinking about quilting. Yes, I did! Not only thinking about it, but lining up projects for the coming year. 2011 will be a quilty one for me!
First up will be finishing up my sister-in-law's grandmother's quilt. Did you follow that? I should get that done this month and that's my Number One Priority. That comes before anything else. Well, except for work and Penny and eating and sleeping and going to the dentist on Monday. But it's Number One!
Next up is Judy's Patchwork Times UFO Challenge! If you go to the UFO Challenge button in the sidebar, you'll see the projects we all have lined up for 2011. The first number drawn is #6. For me, that's finishing up A New Day by Brenda Riddle at Acorn Quilt & Gift Company. Brenda designs the most luscious fabrics for Lecien. I can't wait to get back to working on it.
Then there's the Monochromatic Challenge that Judy cooked up. I haven't committed to this one, but thought I'd just play along when the mood strikes. January's color is yellow. After viewing my yellow stash yesterday, I found out it will truly be a challenge for me. But I haven't given up on it yet!
That Judy! She always keeps challenging us! I usually give everything a try, but if she comes up with some kind of cooking challenge ... well, let's just say that I won't be participating in that one! :)
I do want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! But beyond "happy" and "quilty," my fervent wish for everyone is a healthy 2011!
Oh, don't forget to take a few stitches today! Remember, what you do on New Year's Day, you do for the rest of the year!!!!!
Happy 2011!!

Please don't give up on yellow! You can make a potholder or a pillow for Penny! Happy New Year to you. I hope 2011 is a much better year for you.
Happy New Year Vicky.
have you eaten the traditional foods today? I thought of you!
Spent the day piecing a top...well I did the blocks yesterday so does that make this my first UFO finish for 2011? LOL I have 3 tops done in the last 2 weeks to go off to my quilter on Monday. And then I have to give some thought to whats next. I need baby gifts in beginning of February although I think a quilt can wait until actual arrival at the end of March. Hope you had a great day!
Happy New Year, Vicky. I hope 2011 is kinder in many ways! I do enjoy your stashbusting efforts! They are a lot like mine. LOL
